Saturday - Cloudy but warmish
I went to bed about an hour late last night, but slept fairly well for a few hours. I woke up around 7:30 which was rather disappointing as I didn’t need to. F was sitting up in bed with his computer. I sat up to get ready to go downstairs…and the room started spinning. Oh no. I grabbed the door near my bed and closed my eyes. F did ask what was wrong and I told him the room was spinning. It slowed down enough for me to finally stand up and go downstairs. I came back to the room and to be honest, just went back to bed and slept a bit more.
I woke up next around 11 and finally got up. The room started spinning again, but slower than before. Happily, it did stop after a minute. I got dressed and went downstairs. I put on my black jeans, I haven’t been able to wear them in ages as they are quite heavy and much too warm for summer.
I texted a bit with my friend in Sakata. When F came upstairs to talk about lunch, he suggested going to Sakata to the Thai restaurant. I was fine with that, and asked him if he thought we could meet up with my friend. He said it was a good idea, so I asked her if today was okay and she said yes.
We drove to Sakata and parked in the city hall parking. Apparently there was an election going on so the lot was busy and they asked F if he was there for the election. I’m afraid that he wasn’t honest about it! We went over to the restaurant and went in. I had Pad Thai which was okay but honestly not that great, F had Gapao Rice. I should have had that again! Over lunch I texted my friend and asked where we should meet. She invited us over to her house, so we went.
We had a lovely visit with my friend. We had tea and a lot of chat. We haven’t seen each other in a few months so we had a lot to talk about. We talked a lot about movies! My favourite topic most of the time.
All too soon we had to leave as we had to be back in the house for K to come back from Day Service. We drove back to Tsuruoka and had enough time to visit a grocery store for some snacks and a bento for K’s dinner.
We made it back to the house by about 4:25 and K was returned a few minutes later. Safe!
I spent some time upstairs and relaxed with YouTube and my favourite websites, then after 6:30 F started asking about our dinner. I spent some time on my phone’s map app and found a place that I’d never heard of. It turned out it was in Yutagawa which is rather far from here. F was game so we drove out there and….it was closed. We have no idea if it is a permanent thing or just tonight. However, Saturday night is often a busy night for restaurants so….
We ended up driving back into Tsuruoka and going to Misono for dinner. F had a Tendon teishoku or tempura on rice set meal, I had kara-age without rice. It came with a bit of salad and some potato salad. It was huge!
When we came back to the house I suggested to F that we have our ice cream now. K was still up. We had bought ice cream all round at the grocery store today. We all sat in the living room and ate our ice cream. It was a tea with cookie flavour and was very nice. I think it was nice for K to have family time. I hope it was!
I washed the spoons and then headed upstairs. I relaxed with some YouTube again and then at 11pm I watched FBI. It was a good episode tonight.
F has been sleeping on and off for the last couple of hours and I’m getting tired. I really don’t know what happened this morning with the dizziness. I hope that it doesn’t happen tomorrow too. I’ll keep you posted.
