Monday - Rainy, sunny and warmish
I woke up this morning around 6 am and had to go downstairs. F was still asleep but I almost tripped over some of his stuff and I woke him up. Sigh. I went downstairs, then came back and tripped over his bottle of water again. He woke up and I don’t think he got back to sleep again. I went back to sleep and mostly slept through him leaving for work and then my alarms. I got up a bit later and went downstairs, then came back to bed!
I got up later and dressed, then went downstairs. F’s sister was there. Sigh. She did say hi but I didn’t go in to see her. I don’t like it when she just shows up and basically lets herself in. I can’t say anything because she’s visiting her mother and I don’t want her to not visit her. Does that make sense?
I took my breakfast upstairs and ate. I had a quiet time. I also did a small load of laundry. I needed to wash my usual pants and house sweater as I’ve been wearing them non-stop for weeks!
Later on I made my lunch and came back upstairs to eat that. I watched an episode of Elspeth and it had Eric McCormack on it. It’s always nice to see Canadians on shows! I watched the news when it finished and wonder again at how some people live with themselves.
F called me at his usual time, but told me he was still working. His boss was in a meeting and he had to wait until they were done. He said he’d call me when he was finished.
I went downstairs to get dinner started, I did the dishes and I decided that since we had bought new milk yesterday I would throw out the old milk. It was from the beginning of December. Don’t blame me…I don’t drink milk and rarely cook with it. Well, I looked in the carton and it was practically yogurt or cottage cheese. I poured it out, keeping the solids in my corner basket in the sink! YUCK. I wanted to throw it out before but anytime I mention that to F he says that he’ll drink it. I don’t think he did.
F finally around close to 7 pm and said that his sister had been by and left some food for us. She’d made some kabocha curry or something. Well, it didn’t fit into my meal plan and since everything else was just about ready I didn’t want to heat it up tonight. F got quite pouty at that. I did offer to do it, but he whined a bit and then whined more that he wanted some of the pickles that she’d provided too. I put them out on the table but didn’t have any.
F was very pouty all through dinner. He helped himself to extra rice and I thought that he probably wouldn’t want any dessert. Since we had fresh milk I planned to make a dessert. He said he would like dessert so I cleared the table and made up the dessert in the kitchen. It was just a packet that I mix with milk, but it was nice. We all enjoyed the peach dessert and K even said it was delicious! I guess she needs more desserts?!
I did the dishes and then when I was finished said goodnight to K and F and went upstairs. I relaxed for a while and then went downstairs after 10:30 to take a shower.
When I got back to the room I watched the next episode of Pluribus. It was good and left us on a big cliffhanger. F fell asleep so I turned off his light.
Since midnight I have been working on my online stuff and now I’m about done! Tomorrow I plan to do more laundry and I have to prepare for dinner as well. The dinner I’m planning needs some prep.
