Sunday - Snowy, rainy, cold at night
I did my usual wake up early and go downstairs thing. I came back upstairs to the room and went back to bed. I snoozed a bit late…it’s Sunday…and then I got up and dressed.
F and I talked about going out and he suggested a restaurant we like. I wasn’t sure if it was open, so I checked and it was. Yay.
We went to Arpeggio and had a nice breakfast. F got to have his assortment tray that he likes, I had the chicken fingers set meal. It was nice.
After lunch, we went over to Gyomu Supa and did some shopping. I got some baby cheese for me, some macaroni salad and some frozen vegetables…things to stretch out a meal basically.
We paid, then F went back and got rice too. We drove to the house via a 7-11 so I could recharge my Suica card. At the house, we put away the groceries and then F wanted to leave right away to buy the rest of the food. Okay, I wanted a drink, but whatever.
At the grocery store, F was annoying. He came in with me and I bought as much as I could. I was planning to make breakfast for dinner on Monday night, and then on Tuesday I’ll do chicken drumsticks. I asked him if he was going to cook for his mother tonight or if he wanted a bento for her. He didn’t know. Ugh! I don’t care one way or another, just make up your mind. He decided not to do it finally.
We left the grocery store and came back to the house. I put these groceries away too and then I went upstairs. I watched some YouTube, made myself some drinks and relaxed.
F made dinner for his mother around 6pm and a little later we went out to have dinner. He’d already eaten a bit before with his mother. I suggested China House, so we went over there and got a table. I had my usual there, mapo-dofu set meal, F had fried rice.
We came back to the house and on the way F mentioned that the garbage in the kitchen was full. When we got back to the house F went in the house, I grabbed my snow shovel and cleared a bit of snow. F came back out later and did more. I went in the house and cleared out the garbage. It was quite full. Then, I cleaned out the corner garbage in the sink and the drain holder. F did both last time and with both of them, he hadn’t put the liners in properly. That meant I had a huge mess to clean up. I was upset. It’s completely another case of him using weaponized incompetence. If he messes up, he won’t have to do it again, right?
I happened to look in the fridge and on the lower shelf I found a chunk of bacon. The bacon that I was planning to cook tomorrow because I am doing breakfast for dinner. It would have been fine if he told me earlier that he cooked it, I could have got more. I told him I was doing bacon tomorrow and it didn’t twig on him that I was planning to use THAT bacon.
I got mad at him. I was already upset for the garbage liners, the mess he left in the kitchen and the bacon just put me over the top. He was sorry, but honestly…it’s too late now dude. I’m so tired of trying to talk to him these days and him not paying any attention.
I watched a couple of TV programmes upstairs tonight. First up I watched the first episode of Cardinal Season 2. It was really good. After I went downstairs and made popcorn, then watched The Great British Sewing Bee. It was a good episode and I enjoyed it.
And that’s about it for my day. I am so glad that F is going back to work tomorrow. I need a break! I do have to take down my Christmas Tree and then I’m back in the kitchen tomorrow night. Sigh.
