Saturday - Sunny, then cloudy and snowy later on. Warm at first, colder later on.
I woke up fairly early for me this morning and went downstairs. I went down after K and F were supposed to leave for the Day Service, but they were still here. Apparently, K didn’t want to go this morning. She complained that the bath room at the center is cold!
I went back to bed and snoozed for a bit. F came in a little before noon and I was still in bed mostly asleep. I got up and dressed and we talked about what to do. I was hoping for lunch of course, so I suggested Indian food. We drove over to Khatry Kitchen and had our lunch. F had the special today, chicken and mushroom curry, I had the chicken curry. We liked both our meals. We ended up closing out the restaurant. I could not get F to leave! He was playing a game on his phone and just kept sitting there!
We went over to Musashi again and looked at boots for him. I noticed a day ago that his boot had a big rip in the sidewall. He got himself a new pair that I hope will last a little longer. They weren’t cheap, but I’m not a big fan of cheap footwear personally.
We also bought a chemical to put on the snow to melt it. It is most useful when there’s just a little bit of snow. We’ve had a lot of snow over the last few days.
We came back to the house and chilled out. I was upstairs relaxing and F came upstairs for a bit, but disappeared around 6 pm. That was fine, I assumed he was feeding his mother. However, by 8:20 he still hadn’t reappeared and I was getting hungry!
I went downstairs looking for him and he was in the living room with his mother watching TV. I asked him if he was going to do dinner tonight. He’d cooked for his mother and had eaten with her. Nice! He did offer to take me out so I said yes!
I suggested Gusto so we drove over to the one by MaxValu and had dinner. I had the lemon/avocado/shrimp pasta, a side salad, and the drink bar. F had some kara-age and the drink bar. We spent a while there and then came back after 9 pm. When I stood up in the restaurant, I didn’t notice at first that I hadn’t grabbed my hat and scarf as they had fallen on the floor. Yikes. I told F in the car that it took about 4 years to make my scarf as I did it in the round on circular needles and the yarn was quite fine!
Back at the house both F and I did a little snow shovelling. He did more than I did, but it was fine. I went inside with him and then I went upstairs. I changed and went downstairs again to take a shower.
When I came back to the room, I decided to check out another Canadian show that I’ve never seen before. I watched the first episode of The Murdoch Mysteries. It has possibilities, so I’ll probably watch a bit more.
After the show finished, I turned off the TV and watched more YouTube. I got started on my internet stuff as well.
F went to bed earlier but watched The Langoliers tonight! It’s one of his favourite TV series. He is trying to sleep, I hope he can. Tomorrow is his last day off so we have to get ready for the week ahead.
