Wednesday - Sunny and warmish
I woke up this morning when my alarm went off. I went downstairs and then came back to the room. I watched a few videos on my phone, read some entries on Threads and then dozed off for a while. I dragged myself out of bed later, got dressed and went downstairs.
I had sorted my clothes earlier so I took my laundry basket downstairs with me. I opened the washing machine…and K’s clothes were in there! Happily, she was up and sitting in the living room, so I asked her to move her clothes for me. She did, although it was difficult for her to understand what I wanted her to do! I put some clothes in and then took my breakfast upstairs with me.
I had a quiet afternoon with the exception of the laundry. I relaxed, caught up with my YouTube, did a little loom knitting and then had my lunch. While I was preparing my lunch, I noticed that K had put dust that she had swept up into the plastic garbage bag. Eye roll. They haven’t changed these bags in years, so she should know not to do that, but she does it often. Luckily for me, there wasn’t much in the garbage bag so I could just tip it over into the proper bag and not worry about it.
I made my lunch, and while it was cooking/heating up, I asked K if she wanted her lunch heated up. She said no. Oh dear.
While I ate lunch upstairs, I watched the first episode of the last season of The Good Fight. I’m sad but also glad. I’ve got nine more episodes to go. After my show and then the news, I worked on my column. I think I have it about ready to go. I need to tweak it a little and then I should be able to send it in.
F called after 5:30 and after a bit I went downstairs. I started dinner and did a bit of work in the kitchen. I made hamburgers tonight for dinner. We had hamburgers and French fries with some broccoli, mushrooms and potato salad and salad. I think it was good! K really liked French fries, she told me when I was giving her some that she likes them! We actually talked a little today which is odd, but good.
I did the dishes after dinner and then did up the garbage with a bit of help from F. I put the garbage in the genkan for F to take out later. I went upstairs to change my clothes.
We went over to Mina to buy groceries and wonder of wonders, F didn’t come in with me! It was so nice to do the shopping by myself and not have to worry about what he was doing or where he was!
I got the groceries and then paid and came back to the car. We drove back to the house. He’s been warning me against the evils of cold meats lately so I got a lecture on their evils again tonight. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to eat if I can’t eat either sliced chicken or sliced ham.
Back at the house I unpacked the food and put it away, then I went upstairs. I heated up my water pot to make tea. F had bought us some of the famous fruit cream sandwiches today, so I wanted the tea to have with them. I got a strawberry sando and then a sweet potato one. They were both really good.
I watched The Irrational at 11pm and then turned off the TV afterwards. F went to bed fairly early tonight, I’m still up as usual, but am planning to go to bed soon.
Not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I’ll probably finish my column and watch a bit of TV in the evening. I may even do some laundry if I can!
