Saturday - Rainy and cloudy but warm
I woke up quite early today, somewhere around 8. Basically that was an hour earlier than I had planned. I went downstairs and then came back upstairs and went back to bed for a while. I set my alarms and went back to sleep for a bit.
I got up out of bed at 10am and then got dressed. F came upstairs a few minutes later and we talked about when we’d leave. We left the house sometime around 10:30 and went to the doctor’s office. It wasn’t too busy today and we were seen fairly quickly. On one hand, I was sad because I had a book I’m reading, on the other, I was glad not to hang around. We picked up our prescriptions and while we were there, we talked about where to go for lunch. F wanted a Japanese place, so he threw out a couple of ideas and I liked one of them.
We ended up going to a Japanese fish restaurant that we went to once a couple of weeks ago. They had a rice thing and we couldn’t have the dishes we wanted. We had the sushi lunch which came with sushi and some miso soup. The sushi was great. We left after our meal and then decided that we were still a bit hungry!
We talked about places where we could go that we could have small meals or a sandwich or something. We couldn’t decided on one place. F kept driving around and I had no idea where he was going. Then, I noticed a new place on the road we were driving on. It had a sign up that said Jazz and Coffee. Long story short, we ended up going there. It was actually called Standard and it was nice. The Jazz was a little loud to be honest, and we had to prepay with a machine, but we could sit and enjoy music while we drank. We were thinking to have curry, but I realized I didn’t want that, so I ordered toast and butter, F got the same. I had cocoa to drink, F had coffee. The toast was good and we enjoyed it.
After we left, we went over to Musashi and bought masks and fish! F wanted some new fish for his aquarium and I had noticed we needed more masks. Yes, I still wear them when I’m out in public. I live with a lady in her 80’s and I don’t want to pass things on to her.
We came back to the house and I went upstairs and relaxed for a while. I watched YouTube and fell asleep on it. I had to replay some of the content as I snoozed through it!
F came upstairs after his mother came back and he decided to make his mother’s dinner. He also begged off going to the movie tonight. He had an upset stomach all day and his neck was painful. I knew he wasn’t feeling great and to be honest, he hadn’t even asked what the movie was. Sigh. I told him I’d probably go and see the film during the week if we didn’t go this weekend.
He made something for his mother and after a while, we went out. Since he wasn’t going to the movie I suggested Gusto because I wanted to go there! I hate having rice at every meal on the weekends, so I got to have something else.
F had some fried chicken and shared a plate of fries with me. I had a burger with demiglace sauce and most of the fries! We both had drink bar and enjoyed too many drinks!
We came back to the house and F stayed downstairs for a while and I came upstairs and watched The Hunting Party. It’s a bit of an odd show…lighter than Criminal Minds, and a little bit repetitive. I’m watching it for now, hopefully it’ll improve a bit.
And, that’s about it. F is sleeping. I’m tired and need to go to bed soon too.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow so come back and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
