Thursday - Cool and cloudy
I woke up this morning after my alarm and did my usual thing of going downstairs and then coming back to bed. I watched a bit of some videos but fell asleep on them. They loop, so I have no idea how many times they played!
I dragged myself out of bed and then dressed. I went downstairs and checked the mail. A letter for me and a big envelope for F! I grabbed my yogurt and brought it upstairs. I had breakfast at my desk.
I watched a bit of YouTube and finally read my friend’s email. I decided to answer her letter right away. I managed to write back today. I’m really glad about that!
I had a quiet afternoon, I had lunch and watched the second last episode of The Good Fight. That was quite an ending…Diane and Kirk and then Marissa and her Krav Maga instructor!
F called me around 5:30 to say he was on the way back. I told him I’d go downstairs soon and make a start on dinner. I tried!
We were out of kerosene upstairs so I brought down the tank with my dishes and a bunch of PET bottles with everything else. That was fun! I tried to fill up the kerosene tank but discovered that the kerosene was nearly empty. I filled up my tank as much as I could, but there wasn’t enough to fill it.
F arrived around this time and I told him about the kerosene situation. I have been trying to get him to go and buy some for days but he’s so stubborn about things like this. We did have an emergency tank in the back so he filled up our tank from that.
He nicely took the tank upstairs for me and I got on with dinner.
Tonight I made baked potatoes in the microwave and air fryer, store-made hamburgers, kabocha salad, salad and some tuna salad. I made the tuna salad as I like to put it on my baked potatoes. We also had a bit of real sour cream and some of my fake sour cream. Dinner was really good and almost everything disappeared. K even ate two baked potatoes which almost surprised me. They were small potatoes, not big ones.
I did the dishes after dinner and listened to my podcasts, then I went upstairs. I had checked with F to see if he was going to take a shower. He said it would be around 10 pm but he didn’t take his until almost 11. I needed a shower so I was a little miffed. I had planned to watch something on TV tonight but didn’t get the chance at all.
I took my shower and it was 11:30 before I finished. I didn’t get upstairs until almost midnight.
Tomorrow morning, F is going to his doctor’s office so he’s off work tomorrow. I’m not sure what we’re going to get up to after that exactly as he wants me to cook dinner later on. I’m hoping he’ll want to buy me lunch at least!
