Saturday - Cooler but sunny
Today was a day! I woke up this morning after 9am. I noticed F’s wallet on the table and thought I’d see if I could catch him before he left. However, when I got downstairs he was sitting at the table with K, and they were both eating breakfast. I gave him his wallet and when he stood up to get it, I noticed he was still wearing pyjama bottoms. I asked him when he was going to leave. He looked puzzled and said,”Leave?” I said to him,”It’s Saturday. Don’t you have to take your mother to Day Service?” He looked a bit surprised! Because Friday was a holiday he’d forgotten that today was Saturday and he was supposed to take his mother to go to the Day Service! He phoned them to let them know that K would be late!
I went back to bed and slept a bit longer. After that, I got up and took a shower. I talked to F to see if he got his mother safely away-he did. I asked if he wanted to go for lunch and he said he did, but couldn’t think of a place I’d want to go. I told him that I didn’t want to go to a ramen place, but apart from that, try me. He came up with a good place and I said it was fine. I so dislike it when he gets whiny and says that I never say yes to his restaurants. I don’t like bad restaurants and half the time those are what he suggests.
We drove off to Naa and parked and went in. We did change our table as the first one had uncomfortable chairs. F had the smaller lunch as he had already eaten breakfast with his mother. I had pork and fish and it was really nice.
After lunch, we headed back into Tsuruoka and stopped off at the Kimuraya Bakery factory store. We went in and got a treat for both of us and K too. F got the coffee cups they give out. He had two cups of coffee and I bought myself a bottle of Royal Milk Tea. We used our phones for a bit. I suggested that we make a stop at the nearby hundred yen shop as I wanted to see something.
Next up we went to the Daiso nearby. I did a little shopping and bought a few things. Nothing was too exotic or special.
After Daiso we went back to the house. As usual, I headed upstairs and F stayed downstairs for a while.
K came back to the house and F welcomed her back. He also made her some dinner when the time came.
Around 6:45 or so F came upstairs and we talked about our dinner and if we were going to the movie. F said yes to the movie so I suggested either a gyudon shop or the bibinba place in the mall. He chose the bibinba place which was fine with me.
We drove out to the mall and we had our dinner first. I got my bibinba and F bought himself some yakisoba and okonomiyaki. After we ate, we bought the tickets. I thought we’d get a free movie ticket tonight since I got one last time I went to the movie, but we didn’t. Sigh. We did buy our popcorn and drinks and when the movie was called, went into the cinema.
We went to see Project Hail Mary tonight and it was great. I think it might be one of my favourites this year, it’s that good. I might even try and read the book if I can get a copy of it. F even loved it too, which really pleased me.
After the movie we drove back to Tsuruoka and came back to the house. F had to think about K’s breakfast for the morning but I don’t think it hurt his brain too much!
So that was my day. It started with a bit of confusion and ended nicely, with a good movie and a bit of Ryan Gosling!
