Thursday - Cloudy and then rainy
I woke up this morning after my alarm went off. I went downstairs, and did the going back to bed thing. Before I did, I did sort out what I was going to wear later on so that I could just get dressed in a hurry if necessary.
I snoozed, watched a couple of videos and then did wake up in time! Woot. I got up, dressed, and packed my backpack for going out. I went downstairs and a few minutes left the house, locking the door behind me.
I walked to the bus stop and a scant 10 minutes later (I’m being facetious), the bus arrived and I got on. I rode the bus to the end of the line, S-Mall.
I got off the bus and went into the hotel. I went over to the restaurant and had their weekly lunch. Today it was roast pork with a mustard sauce. Well, unfortunately for me, they used a lot of tomatoes both in the sauce and on the plate as garnish. I left some of the tomatoes on the plate so I hope I won’t have a reaction. I paid and then left the hotel.
I went back into the mall and then did a little shopping. I went upstairs and went to Daiso. I bought a few things for me and the house. I got some masking tape for my letters, I got some more teaspoons for the house and some air fryer liners. After I finished there I went downstairs and had an Ice cream at Baskin Robbins. I followed that up with a glass of iced rooibos tea at Doutor. I had to leave to catch my bus so I went over to the bus station and waited a few minutes for my bus.
I rode the bus to my stop. Sadly it had started to rain but I had my umbrella with me and I used that to walk back to the house. I went in the house and K didn’t even seem to notice me. She looked right at me and I said hello, but of course she didn’t reply.
I went upstairs to my room and watched the news and relaxed a bit. F called me after 5:30 and a little while later, I went downstairs and got started on dinner.
Tonight we had burgers and fries, plus a Korean style salad, potato salad, and some mozuku…a seaweed dish in vinegar. I liked it, F kept telling me how he’d make it himself. I liked it the way it was…good for summer.
I did the dishes after dinner and listened to some of my podcasts. I got done fairly quickly and then went upstairs to change. I took a quick break and then went downstairs to wait for F.
I had to wait for a bit. He had to get his keys and then came back downstairs. We drove over to the store and F hemmed and hawed for about 5 minutes over whether he would come in the store or not. He did. Sigh. We did some shopping. F had the buggy and then did a walkabout while I did the actual shopping! At one point I was walking around the store with 4 things in my arms and he was nowhere in sight. Why?
We paid and left the store. We were on our way back when F remembered that he needed to buy gas for the car so we drove over to his favourite gas station. The car said he could still drive 35 km but could someone tell me why he waits until the car is that close to empty before gassing up? I’ve tried to remind him about the earthquake in 2011 where we couldn’t get gas, or told him that if you didn’t have enough gas in Canada you could literally die or freeze to death. He just doesn’t get it. ACK.
We drove back to the house and I put the groceries away. F did his ironing and I went upstairs to relax and watch a bit of YouTube. F came upstairs when he finished and ended up going to bed. I watched The Rookie at 11pm. There was a fire in the police station. It was a bit of a surprise. I turned off the TV when it was done.
Since midnight I’ve been doing a bunch of things that I do to wind up my day. I’m about done, so I’ll be heading to bed soon.
Tomorrow I’ll probably do some laundry and I’ll be cooking dinner again. I hope to maybe write a postcard or two and a letter to my bestie. I’ve also got to work on the mending from a day or two ago.
Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
