Friday - Hot and sunny
I woke up a little early this morning, but did fall back asleep rather quickly. My new eye mask sadly isn’t light proof. Recently the eye masks I’ve been buying are just not light proof. At the moment, it gets light around 4 am and I am very sensitive to light when I sleep. Anyway, I like the style of the new mask, it hooks on my ears instead of going around my head, it’s big and goes far down my cheek, but it lets a bit of light in.
I got up when my alarm went off, went downstairs and then came back to the bedroom. I sorted out a couple of loads of laundry and then went back for a snooze and some videos. I ended up sleeping quite late which isn’t what I wanted really. Sigh.
I got up, dressed, and took my laundry downstairs to start. I got a load in the washing machine and then measured out my yogurt and took it upstairs to have breakfast. I had my cereal with the yogurt and then it was time to hang up my first load of laundry.
I had a quiet afternoon. I received a postcard in the mail today so I had to register it. I had another load of laundry to hang up too.
I went downstairs before 3 to make my lunch. I had extra bread leftover since I went out yesterday so I offered K some toast. I made her a cheese toast and a piece of buttered toast. I’m so nice sometimes!
When I came back to the room with lunch, I didn’t really have enough time to watch a show, so I didn’t. I just relaxed a bit.
I sort of watched the news. I’m afraid that really paying attention to news from the US just makes me angry these days so I mostly ignore it. I watched some YouTube later and waited to hear from F. He finally called me and then I changed and went downstairs.
Tonight I did my usual Friday pasta for dinner. We had pasta with a garlic mayo sauce, salad, and some sliced ham. I think it was good.
After dinner I cleared the table and then did the dishes. I was done fairly early tonight so I went upstairs to relax. F came up a bit later.
I asked him about tomorrow and he came up with a plan. He wants to drive to Mt. Chokai. I’m not really sure what he wants to do, but oh well. It does mean an early start though. I am happy he had an idea! He also promised to buy me breakfast so I’m glad about that.
I took a shower tonight and then came upstairs to watch an episode of Evil. It was quite spooky and was about a demon on a road.
Well, I should get myself off to bed soon as I have to be cheerful in the morning. I’m not a morning person at all!
