Sunday - Hot and Sunny
This morning I woke up around 9:30 I think. I went downstairs and then came back to bed. F came back from downstairs and he went back to bed too. We snoozed and were slugabeds for hours.
We finally dragged ourselves out of bed and then talked about lunch. F suggested Arpeggio and I was fine with that. We got dressed and then drove over. For a change we were able to get right in and both of us had a nice meal of chicken tenders. We talked about ordering coffee there, but decided not to do that. F suggested going to Aomoriya, the fruit tart place near the station.
We drove over to Aomoriya but had to wait a little for a table. We both had some fruit tart…I had a mixed fruit but sadly it had banana in it. F had the caramelized banana tart and coffee. I had a pot of Darjeeling Second Flush tea. Yum. We had a nice relaxing time eating and drinking and spending too much time on our phones. I’m reading a novel on my phone at the moment and it’s rather fun so I would prefer to read it at the moment!
From Aomoriya we decided to do some of the shopping that we’ve been putting off for the last two weeks! First up, F passed the drugstore I wanted to go to. Sigh. Then, we tried another one and they didn’t have the toilet paper that I wanted. I don’t want perfume on it, and I can’t use recycled paper so….I’m picky. We ended up going back to the original drugstore that I wanted to go to!
We picked up some shopping, got our TP and paid, then we came back to the house. It was close to 5 pm when we arrived. After a bit, F made dinner for his mother. Before he went downstairs, he asked me to think about dinner places so I did.
When he came back up, I suggested a place just across the park. However, when we got there, it was closed. I don’t know if we were too late or if they just didn’t open tonight. My second suggestion was the Taiwanese restaurant. We went there instead.
When we were there, we decided we’d have a cold noodle dish, they offer them for summer. You can have the cold noodles with fried rice and fried chicken or with fried chicken and gyoza. F had the fried chicken and gyoza, I had the other one. F didn’t eat all of his stuff and wanted me to eat the rest of it. I was rather annoyed. I don’t mind eating a little extra, but not all of it!
After dinner, we went to the grocery store and did our shopping. Tomorrow I’m going to do toaster oven chicken with some roasted potatoes I think.
Back at the house, I put away the groceries and then came upstairs. I relaxed for a while and then realized I had just enough time to watch a movie. For tonight’s viewing pleasure I decided to watch Renfield, a comedy horror with Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult. I thought it was quite fun, but it was a bit gory so definitely not for everyone.
I turned off the TV when the movie was over and got started on my end of day things. I’m about done now and then I’ll get off to bed.
I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow, so come back and find out! Until tomorrow….
