Muggy. A bit cold earlier on, then warmer.

An okay day. I got up early, then ended up taking a nap on the couch later as I was really tired and cold. It wasn't a long nap. I went off to work around 2 pm.

I had three classes today, and they went well. The second student came a few minutes late, and had to leave after half of the class. That was a little sad honestly. After school, I finished up. I had a bit to do today. Some filing, some paperwork and some prepping.

Fumihiko picked me up and we came home. I went into kitchen mode soon after I did and began cooking. Fumihiko didn't help with a lot of things, but he did translate the instructions a bit so that was nice. I did pasta tonight. We started with a bit of gnocchi, and then after that some spaghettini with carbonara sauce. I also cleaned out the veggie box in the fridge and did a stirfy of zucchini, eggplant and carrot in mostly olive oil. The stirfry was pretty good. I overcooked the spaghettini, but it was still good. The big problem about meals with my hub is that he won't sit down and eat. I keep telling him to and he keeps ignoring me. I hate cold food, but he doesn't mind it. Bleck.

He did the dishes tonight and then took a shower before American Idol. Tonight's show was okay. I think the right people got kicked out, but we'll see about next week. After the show, Fumihiko put on some boxing/kickboxing crap. I wasn't pleased, but at least he asked me first.

When he picked me up tonight he told me that he'd taken tomorrow off so that he could see the doctor. I honestly wasn't happy about it as I'd planned a day of shopping by myself at the mall. He has no idea why I'm not overjoyed to have him along. I've tried to explain that he follows me around like a puppy, has no opinion about anything and looks extremely bored all the time, so it isn't fun for me at all.

However, if he manages to get to the doctor early enough, we might go and see the new Russell baby movie that I've been hoping to see, so that would be good. It's Ladies Day at the theatre tomorrow too, so would be cheaper for me. Found out that Star Trek starts this coming weekend so want to be up for that.

Anyway, that's it for now. I'll try to update tomorrow. Night.

My husband runs off seconds after we enter the store, and it takes me hours to find him as he supposedly never hears his phone ring or feels it vibrating in his pocket. When the kids are with me, as opposed to wandering off with him, I have them walk around screaming "Daddy" until he comes out from under his rock. Why do they have to be so annoying? LOL!

Can't Fumihiko just stay at home while you go shopping? Why does he have to go along too?

Sherry, wanna swap hubbies for a couple of days? I'd so appreciate a bit of alone time. Mine likes kids, so you'd have someone to take care of them for you while you shop.

The mall is 25 minutes outside Tsuruoka. There are two ways for me to get there, by bus or by car. When I thought he was going to work I planned to take the bus there and then he'd meet me after work and we'd see the late show together. However, it didn't work out the way I wanted it too. As to why he has too come with me everywhere, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that.

Sherry, my husband does the same except that we agree on a place to meet when we've both finished. Or we say "we'll meet in the front of the store in 30 mins" or something like that. That way if we both find something and want the other to look at it, we can find them in x amount of time and bring them back. Or, if we need more time we can go back to the spot and say meet there or wait for me in/for 20 mins. etc.

Quite often my husband goes away and finds something he considers neat, so when we meet up he asks me to come and see what he's "found".

Him and I never really look together when we're shopping in the department or hardware stores, we both go our own ways because we both have things we want to look at. The only time we stick together is when we do the grocery shopping, and even sometimes I like to go by myself so I can spend more time looking. :)

Helen, If I were you I would go where you want to go, and tell Fumihiko to go look in a store where he wants to look at by himself and then meet in the middle or something.

Kelly, I have tried that, but he never wants to look at anything. He's not interested in shopping for himself, just in following me around in case I need "help", whatever that means.

It's getting to the point where I am quite exasperated about it and would rather not go shopping at all anymore.

You mean as in "help" with Japanese?

I can see why you would be exasperated. There's nothing worse than having someone standing next to you, or having them right under your heels when you're shopping.

Probably does mean help with Japanese, but honestly I rarely ever need it. How hard is it to just hand over my money?

Thanks for everyone's comments today.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kelly. We have tried that, and he either "forgets" the time or the place. And that is all I am going to say about that.... :)
