July 11, 2009 - Saturday

Hot and sunny, but cooler and cloudy in the morning.

Ended up having a good day. I got up, showered and spent some time on my computer before going to the bedroom and having a quick nap.

We had our usual Gusto breakfast before F dropped me off at work. I got ready for my first class. We had a good one. My student was in fine form today and she did very well as always.

After class I did my paperwork up and set up for the next class today and my first on Tuesday. A little after 3, F came and picked me up. We went to the dentist. Dum de dum de dum....

He poked and prodded my teeth and his conclusion is that I have sensitive teeth. When I drink cold drinks, they hurt. Sigh. I could have told him that. He didn't find any other cavities or anything. He did put a coating on my teeth that he thinks might help it. And I got a free sample of some toothpaste too.

F and I went and had a tea in Doutors and then bought a sandwich. He drove me back to my school for my other class.

The class was fine, and afterwards, I finished up quickly. F picked me up and we drove out to Mikawa. We had a quick dinner and then went to see Knowing. I really liked it. It was strange, but interesting. Nicolas Cage has done quite a few bad movies recently, that it is interesting to see him do a good one for a change. I know that not everyone likes it...that's fine.

We came home afterwards and had a chill out evening at home. I watched a bit of TV which I enjoyed. I should be going to bed soon, but I started watching a movie which is quite interesting. I'd tape it, but I'm going to tape another movie this morning.

That's it for me. Catch you tomorrow night? Night.

There are some special toothpastes that help with sensitive teeth (something like "Sensodyne"). You might want to look into having some sent over from Canada.

Also, I don't know if you use a soft or hard toothbrush or if you brush hard, but you might want to consider using the softest brush and brushing softly (if you don't already). Most people scrub their teeth too hard and weaken the enamel. What works best is more of a polishing movement than a brushing one.

You may already know and be doing these things, but I just thought I'd mention it since you've been suffering lately. I hope it gets better as time goes by!

Thanks Orchid! I did get a sample of the Japanese sensitive teeth toothpaste from the dentist..it is from Sensodyne actually.

Ironically, I'm thinking that this latest flare-up occured because I ran out of the sensitive toothpaste that my sister sent me for Christmas.

I do use a soft toothbrush too--don't like the hard ones they pass off on us over here!

Thanks for your comment :-)
