Thursday - Looked sunny…didn’t go out.
I had an okay day today. I got up on time but it was hard today as I had gone to bed very late. I watched a movie on WOWOW called Legion. It was terrible. Sort of The Seventh Sign but with pseudo zombies. Some of the people were good in it, but the film is not recommended.
Spent a quiet day getting things done. I sewed straps on my half slip to make it a slip, and later on I darned in the ends on my doily. I spent a lot of the afternoon chopping up veggies as I was making a stew for dinner.
Yesterday I had asked hubby to call me when he finished work so that I could get dinner started before he arrived. He didn’t. He was starving when he got home, so he had some noodles. I really wasn’t that pleased, but I can sort of understand.
I made up the stew and it was good. I found a seasoning and browning bottle in my fridge so put some of that in and it helped. I also served it with a bit of the leftover garlic alfredo sauce, so it was nice. F liked it and we finished up the whole thing tonight. I had hoped for leftovers for lunch, but it wasn’t to be!
F did dishes and we had a nice evening together. We watched District 9 on TV. I finished my crochet darning and then decided I might as well work a little on my shawl so I got that out again and did a few rows. I was a crochet fool tonight! It feels really good to do something like that with my hands again.
I watched the latest Royal Pains tonight as well. It’s not a “must-see” but the show has definitely grown on me. Tonight they introduced a couple of new characters. One is played by Marcia Gay Harden and another by Henry Winkler. Hmm. Interesting!
Anyway, that’s about it for me. I had a good day for the most part. Tomorrow, I may try and go out if I get my doily blocked. Hope that works. Later!
