Friday - Cloudy but not rainy.
A good day. When I went to bed last night I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep. I woke up early and then again when F left for work. Because I couldn’t sleep well, I ended in sleeping late this morning. It was so very nice!
When I got up I had breakfast, and checked a few things on my computer. I watched an episode of Brisco County Jr and then turned over to watch Chaplin on NHK. I’d actually never seen this biopic and it was a good one. Robert Downey Jr. was excellent as Charlie Chaplin. I thought it was very well done.
Later in the afternoon I went out to the craft shop. I was looking for something to wrap my doily in, but didn’t find anything suitable. I did have a good snoop around the store, but there wasn’t anything that I needed that badly. I hacked around the nearby drugstore too, and picked up a couple of necessities and then came home. I had thought about going to McDonalds to have a burger or something, but it really looked like rain and I didn’t want to get wet. I came home.
F came home about an hour later. He didn’t call again, but as I hadn’t planned to cook today it wasn’t a big deal.
We went to the 100 yen shop in the mall to look for packaging materials. We went all around the store and didn’t find any for ages. We were on our way out of the store when I finally spied the boxes hiding in a corner.
We then went for dinner. F had suggested yakitori, which was fine with me. I thought he’d take me to our usual place, but he wanted to try somewhere new. We went, but it wasn’t new! We had been there a few years ago when we lived in that area. We’d biked up one night after my work. F didn’t remember. We had a fairly decent meal of yakitori. We wanted some tofu but it took a long time. In fact, we were on the point of cancelling it when it arrived. I wanted to get home for Glee.
We came home, arriving a scant five minutes before Glee started. I fired up the TV and also worked out which box I bought tonight would be best for the doily.
After Glee, Desperate Housewives came on. We watched it and were quite entertained by it. Then, it was midnight and time for Twin Peaks. Yay. F took his shower and while he was doing that, there was an earthquake. It looked like it was a 5 in Fukushima, somewhere around a 3 here. I wasn’t sure if it was going to get worse or not. It didn’t but it was a touch scary.
I’m now stuck in Twin Peaks heaven. I think this might be the end of the series tonight. Now, can I really stay up all the way to 4 am? I don’t have to work tomorrow but I do have to go to a wedding.
To that end, I’m not sure if I’ll be updating tomorrow night. It really depends how late we stay out tomorrow. So, don’t wait up for me! Night!
