Monday - Rainy in the morning, clearing somewhat in the afternoon.
An okay day. I went to bed late last night and so this morning had a hard time getting up. Okay, I slept through my alarms, but the fax machine did wake me up. I dealt with the fax, sent off a response, and then went back to bed for a while. I snoozed a little, but woke up when the doorbell rang. My suitcase had arrived.
I got up for good then. I unpacked and then in a fit of domesticity did a bit of laundry. Not much, just a bit. I watched some TV as well, both taped and live on WOWOW. I made myself an interesting lunch, I had “instant’ spaghetti, but I added an egg, some ham and some garlic cream cheese to it. It was quite good.
In the evening, F called me a bit late from work. He was on his way home finally. He’d had to drive to Yonezawa for work. He came home and after our hug we vegged a little bit. I was reading a book a friend had given me, Blood Bound. It’s one in a series about a shapeshifter who deals with werewolves and vampires. It’s much better than it sounds! It is well written and nothing (repeated for emphasis…NOTHING) like Twilight. Thank goodness.
We had a yummy dinner at Aki, the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki place near our apartment. Tonight the owner had local asparagus and local pork skewers on special, so we had those too. Very nice.
After dinner, we went over to the grocery store to get fixings for dinner on Wednesday. We needed milk anyway and I really don’t want to go there tomorrow night after work. Yay.
We came home and I put away the groceries. I made tea for us and we had a quiet evening in. We didn’t even turn on the TV tonight! I was reading and looking at photos on Facebook, which was very fun.
That’s about it for my day. It was mostly good. I could have done without the major headache I got in the afternoon and the tiredness in the morning and the pain in my foot where the stupid ligament hasn’t healed YET, but all in all, a nice quiet day back from all the fun I had at convention.
Got to go and read some more! Night.
