Sunday - Hot and sunny, humid and rainy, a mixed weather day.
A good day. Hubs and I managed not to fight at all and had a decent sushi lunch and then ran a few errands. After we finished, F wanted to go for a drive to the ocean, so we did. There were a few people fishing there so I asked if he wanted to come tomorrow and do more. He had forgotten about tomorrow being a holiday, so was glad! We might go if the weather is okay. I’m not exactly thrilled, but I know that he loves fishing and we haven’t done much of it this year.
We had dinner in a new place tonight. It wasn’t that new, it was just new to us. We went to Cafe Restaurant Pacific Airy. It seemed to be a one person operation, but it was very nice. We had a good meal and watched one of those awful TV programmes where they show car crashes and train crashes, and so on. Still, the food was good.
Came home afterwards and had a quiet evening with the Mister. He downloaded his pictures to his computer, and I did mine to my computer. Got some good shots, and some not so good ones. He got some great ones. He bought a new camera for himself in Narita before we left, a little cheap one, but it takes decent pictures.
Anyway….Since I posted some highlights of my trip to Facebook tonight, thought I’d better post a few here too. If anyone wants the URL to my Facebook album it is here. You don’t even have to be a member of Facebook to see the pictures.
This is the view from our hotel room. It was a lovely room with a couple of problems. The biggest one was we were told we couldn't check in until 3:00pm by the tour operator. However, when we went there around 1:30pm, absolutely exhausted, the hotel staff were only too happy to allow us to check in then! The other problem? F likes taking baths, but the bath water came up the drain under the sink and flooded the bathroom floor. Yikes!
A couple of pictures of the Sydney Opera House. Is it possible to take a bad photo of it?
Some of the wildlife seen at Taronga Zoo, across the bay from Sydney. A really nice zoo.
On our anniversary, after dinner with some friends in The Rocks. Finally, we have some pictures of us together for our friends that demand some!
One of the rock formations in the Jenolan Caves. The caves were amazing, but I discovered how badly out of shape I am. Not a good thing.
Down from The Three Sisters. We went to Scenic World, and after a fingernail breaking (literally) ride down the mountain, we arrived in a rainforest. It was beautiful walking through it, it was off season, so not terribly crowded either. This tree was struck by lightning once upon a time and the centre is burnt.
Talk to you all later! Night.

Helen, two things.
You said you were going on a trip, and I assumed a domestic venture. Is there some reason why you didn't mention going abroad before going? Are there dangerous stalkers hounding you that might follow you there? Are your papers not in order? Should I be worried about telling about my foreign traveling plans online? I really wonder. Is it dangerous to say, "Hey, I'm going to Australia next week!"?
The second thing is that when my husband gets all pissy and irritated about nothing and won't talk to me, I think to myself, "Oh, he's doing a Helen's husband." Sorry. I really think this is a Japanese man (of a certain age) thing.
No, no stalkers...at least none that I'm really aware of! I think I didn't say where I was going for more of a safety thing, I didn't really want to blab to everyone that we were going overseas in case our apartment got burgled! (And, to be honest, I wasn't completely sure that we'd go. Last years holiday was so awful that I didn't really want to go away with F ever again.)
And...that's funny about you saying that about your husband! I don't know what it is with men and their silent treatment! I think my hub probably is at that certain age. He sure gets grumpy a lot. :-(
