Friday - Rainy

I had all sorts of plans for today, but I didn’t do any of them. I went to bed after 5 am this morning…F got up around then too, and so I got up again and prepped the garbage for him to take out. I had meant to do it earlier, but it had slipped my mind.

I slept in today and didn’t get my act together for a while. A long while. F came home to pick up his cellphone and to make himself lunch. I was surprised as he didn’t even ask me if I was hungry…I was. He had ramen of course.

I planned to go out in the afternoon, but the weather was awful. The rain was so bad it sounded like hail so I stayed in. I wrote a couple of postcards and then finally had my lunch. I had some cream of potato soup that we’d picked up in the grocery store’s bargain bin. It was good. I haven’t had any soup in a while.

F came home around 6. I wasn’t terribly happy to see him for a while, so I just relaxed. He took a nap which gave me a nice cool down period. After a bit of a snuggle, F got started on dinner.

Tonight he made a nabe, our first of the season. It wasn’t too bad. Usually I don’t like the sauce. I didn’t love it, but overall the nabe was quite good.

I did the dishes and then we both settled in for a while on the couch or my chair. I wrote a letter and packaged up my doily, F wrote a postcard and then translated my letter for me.

It was a really quiet day. I just watched Supernatural and I think I’ll go to bed quite soon. There have been quite a few earthquakes on the other side of the country today which is a worrying thing. I think it is the power of suggestion, but I often feel like the room is shaking here, even when there’s no notice on the TV. I really don’t want to get earthquake sick again.
