Tuesday - Warm and sunny
A good day. I got up at a reasonable time today and watched Criminal Minds - Red Cell. I had missed the beginning last week so I thought it was a new episode when it started.
I showered, got ready for work, the usual. I had an omelette for lunch and then headed out to the school.
At the school I quickly took down all of the Halloween decorations and then welcomed my student who arrived a couple of minutes early. We had a fairly good class today.
After class I spent a while doing paperwork and filing. I also did a bit of cleaning and getting the expenses done for my trip. When I started getting closed in, I called F and asked if I should go home or if he’d pick me up. He picked me up.
For dinner tonight, neither of us really felt hungry, so we had a cheap and cheerful dinner at Kappa-sushi. I didn’t eat quite as much as I usually do, so I felt virtuous, F ate the same as usual and felt too full.
We came home and didn’t do too much really. F went to bed quite early, I went to give him a snuggle, then he took his bath and I watched Criminal Minds. I did some of my crochet afterwards, but the count didn’t work out so I’m a little miffed. I guess I’ll have to check it again in the morning. I also ended up watching Orphan tonight. It was quite good, a bit scary!
So, I promised a bit of an update about my trip to Sendai last month. It was good. I had an uneventful trip to Sendai on the bus, except I realised halfway through that I was hungry and I had no food at all with me. Sigh. I got to Sendai, found my hotel quite easily and then went out for some food. I found a Subway and got takeout for the hotel room, so I was a happy camper. I got a few other things at a convenience store and hit my room again. I watched some of the Video on Demand and sadly didn’t go to bed until quite late.
The next morning I got up, showered and had breakfast, all before 8:30. Yay me. And on a Sunday too! I got to the station and caught a train. I was looking for a seat, when I saw the person that was going to be looking after the booth with me, so we said hello and chatted all the way there.
We were joined by another lady at the Expo and the three of us took care of the booth for AFWJ all day. We took turns being the person who stayed behind and not going to presentations. It worked out fairly well as there were times where I wasn’t interested in the presentations, but the others were. One lady left a little early, but the other stayed until the end. We caught a train back to Sendai and she caught a shinkansen home.
I did a little shopping and had dinner at my favourite Sendai Indian restaurant. Five minutes after I’d ordered, the organiser of the event and another person I’d talked to earlier in the day came in to have dinner. We said hello, but then my food started to arrive. I had the tandori set and it was really good. My curry of choice was almond chicken and it was yummy. When I left the man asked me why I hadn’t been there in so long! I tried to explain about living on the other side of the country and not being able to come in due to the earthquake.
I headed back to the hotel after dinner. I bought a few things from the convenience store on the way back, but not too much. I got back to my hotel, called my hubby and then settled in and watched a truly awful film on the Video on Demand system. It was so bad that I took a nap in the middle of it. I stopped the film, set my alarms for the morning just in case, set a timer for 25 minutes and snoozed. I woke up a bit later and did watch the rest. It was called Sucker Punch and I’d heard it was bad, but I didn’t quite believe it. Truly a terrible movie with no redeeming features. Stay away!
I went to bed late that night too. My hotel was a Toyoko Inn. It’s just a business hotel, but is fairly reasonable and clean and this one was quiet. Last year’s one was noisy. It wasn’t exciting, but it was okay.
Anyway, that’s it for me. You are now up to date with my trip. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day. I’ll let you know. Night.

I like Sucker Punch... .-.
but well, everyone has their own taste, right? For example I'm bored by nearly every movie except Harry Potter, some old Disney Movies and lots of japanese films. ^^
(I think this is the first time commenting your blog... I'm reading it for a little while now and I really love your blog! Thank you for writing everyday! ^-^)
Hey Spacehalo, welcome and thanks for commenting.
I like Harry Potter, a lot of old Disney films and some Japanese films but I really didn't like Sucker Punch! As you say, everyone has their own taste!
