Thursday - Cloudy, but warmish

A good day. I got up quite early for me on a holiday, about my weekday time. I think F was a bit surprised to be honest. However, I wanted to watch my telly, so I needed to be up. I watched last week’s Drop Dead Diva, then Project Runway. I enjoyed both of them.

Afterwards, F and I went out for lunch. F suggested a yakiniku place near our apartment, so we went there. It was a good suggestion and we enjoyed our lunch. I had Korean bibinba and F had ramen. We both had some yakiniku on the side.

We drove out to the mall in Mikawa after our late lunch. We had about 30 minutes to spare before our movie, so we looked for postcards. We didn’t get any, but we looked for new socks for F. He has leg problems these days, so normal socks cause him some pain. We got some he thinks will do.

We went to the movie theatre and bought our tickets. F went to the car to dump his socks off, while I was inside a bit nervous about missing the start of the movie. I thought he was silly for bothering about it, but he did make it back in time. We went to see The Three Musketeers today. It was fun. Orlando Bloom was an interesting bad guy as was Christoph Waltz. It didn’t follow the usual storyline and there were many modernizations of the story, but overall I enjoyed it. If you are a Musketeer purist, you won’t like it, but for a fun afternoon at the theatre, it isn’t bad at all.

After the movie, we went to a hundred yen shop for postcards and wrapping paper, then to an okonomiyaki place for dinner. We chose a “make your own” place tonight and it was fine. F’s one was good, mine was okay. Mine was a bit bland. Still, dinner was nice and quite fun.

We came home via the grocery store and had a quiet evening in. F wrote a postcard for Postcrossing and I requested two new names. I’m sending to The Netherlands and to Poland. I’ll write those up and send them tomorrow.

And that’s about it really. It was a pretty nice holiday together. Hurray. Night-night!
