Tuesday - Rainy, then colder at night

An okay day.

I got up this morning, then slept a little longer. I finally got up to watch Criminal Minds then realised I didn’t want to watch it, so I watched something else…St. Elmo’s Fire. It’s been on a bit lately. I love the film. Not sure why.

Showered and then watched The West Wing. I am so in awe of Aaron Sorkin’s writing. So much goes unsaid on that show, because it doesn’t need to be. We are smart enough to figure things out. Today, one of the big guests was Felicity Huffman in her pre-Desperate Housewives days…she was a knockout.

I had lunch at home, and it was good. I had a couple of scrambled eggs on English muffins with a little cheese and ham. Yum. Just hit the spot today.

I walked to my school, leaving here around 3:15. It took half an hour to get there, which surprised me. I did a bit of shovelling when I got there, but I didn’t have time to do a lot. My parking space was fine, but the entrance to my school looked a bit scary. With all of the rain, the snow was soft and easy to get stuck in.

I went to my classroom and got ready for my student. She phoned to say she was on her way and then finally arrived. She said she wasn’t able to park in my space as the entrance was too much for her little car, but parked somewhere else. Because of that, she left a few minutes later! Oh no!

I didn’t have to do a lot after her class, so I read the paper and then called F to come and pick me up. He did, and tonight we had dinner in Gusto.

Oh boy! I ordered one of their new dishes, a beef stew and also ordered their “B” set, rice and salad. I asked to switch the rice for bread, which was on the menu and not a problem really. F and I were at the table when the waitress came over and brought me creamy corn soup. Huh? I didn’t ask for that. She took it away, and a few minutes brought me back my salad and later on my bread. F’s fish arrived and he didn’t seem too happy with it. He ate it anyway, but I’m a bit worried about him. Then, the waitress showed up with clam chowder for me. What? I made her take it back! When we got our bill it was really long. It looks like she had taken our order AND someone else’s. I’m not sure how their little order things work, but the waitress probably didn’t cut off our table, and put the someone else’s order on our table too. They had reversed the charges that weren’t ours, so the total was fine, but the check was so messy!

We came home and watched a bit of TV. We watched some of the American Idol auditions and then Criminal Minds. I watched that from the couch and did another couple of rows of crochet. When it finished I watched the last part of an animated movie that was really funny and quite sad. It was Mary and Max.

And that was about it for my day. I should do a postcrossing entry soon as I have received some great cards lately, but it is late and I just don’t have the energy for it now. Maybe tomorrow? Soon anyway! Got to go. Night!
