Thursday - Clear and sunny, rainy at night
A good day. I woke up a little late, but I got up and checked things on my computer. After that, I threw last night’s veggies into the slow cooker. I also cooked the ground meat and tossed it in too. I put the lid on the thing and forgot about it all.
I did all the usual things before I went to work. I did take a nap. It was supposed to be for 15 minutes, but turned into 50. Yikes. I had lunch and then headed to my school.
I bought some cake for F on my way to the school and then set up my classroom. My student came and we had a good lesson. She was really sweet and brought a bottle of Beaujolais for my husband! I had mentioned it was his birthday earlier this week.
After class I relaxed a bit, did the dishes and then texted F. He called me back and then picked me up a little later. We came home.
At home I did a little magic with my slow cooker, made some couscous and then served dinner. It was quite nice. I had a couple of bowls of stew as I was hungry. F liked it too.
We had a quiet evening, except F subjected me to all kinds of horrid J-TV. The worst kind, the re-enactment kind. Bleck. I told him it was fine, but at 11 I was taking over the TV. I watched The Good Wife and did some darning-in of ends on my afghan. I have 7 left. Darn! (That wasn’t punny or anything!)
We had a bit of the apple crumble from last night, and then F basically fell asleep. I had wanted him to have his cake tonight, but he’s too tired.
That’s about it for me. Not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. Come back and find out! Night.
