Tuesday - Snowy, not too cold

A good day.  Hurray!

We both slept in a bit more than we planned today. I blame staying up very late last night!  F headed over to his mother’s to take her to the temple.  I got up and watched a bit of TV.  Heartland, a Canadian show filmed in Alberta was on, so I watched it while he was gone.  I wasn’t so much interested in the horses, as the vistas.  Sometimes I miss the wide open spaces so much!

We went out for lunch and had a bit of fun finding a place that was open.  F suggested the buffet lunch at the Komagi-hara spa, so that’s where we ended up.  It wasn’t bad, certainly not for a day that I didn’t even think they’d be open.

We checked my school for nengajo after lunch.  I got two there. I’ll probably get a few more over the week.  We then decided to go to karaoke.  We haven’t been in a while and it just seemed like a fun thing we could do together.  We went to quite a nice place near our apartment and just sang for 2 hours.  It was enough.  I did a lot of old favourites, and a couple of songs for myself.

We came home for a bit after karaoke.  We relaxed.  We had a lightish dinner at Gusto.  We arrived there just before 8pm and it was a good thing we did go early as they were going to close at 9 pm.  Yikes.

We came home and shovelled a bit of snow. Inside the apartment,  F watched something in Japanese and as usual tried to explain it to me.  I didn’t care and I wasn’t really watching it.  Still, I did my best not to be annoying about it.

At 11 pm I took over the TV and re-watched Sherlock.  I think this was the second series.  It was great and I really enjoyed seeing it again. I caught a couple of things I missed the first time around.

F has set up the breadmaker for tomorrow.  He’s attempting raisin bread.  I’m hoping it’ll be good. I asked him to put some cinnamon in it, which he did.

Tomorrow I’ll go over to my school for a few hours to do some cleaning. I don’t get to do things like taking down the curtains to wash very often, so it’s a good idea to get it done now, when there’s no classes.  I may even try and do a bit of snow removal too, since we had quite a bit over the last couple of days.

That’s it for me for tonight.  I’ve got to go.  Night!
