Thursday - snowy and cold

An okay day.

I got up this morning but it was hard to do. I had a little breakfast and watched a bit of TV, while reading the newspaper.  The usual basically.

I did a lot of laundry today.  I washed 4 loads of my stuff and hung it up in the spare room to dry.  Yay me.

Around 5 pm I went outside and shovelled snow from F’s parking space.  It was cold and windy out there.  I got his space quite clear. I even managed to lift a lot of the ice up too which I was rather proud of.  I came in when I was done.

F was late tonight. He didn’t come home until after 6:30, and the snow had covered over most of his space. He knew that I had done some work out there though, so that was okay.

We went over to my school and I set the heater for tomorrow.  Because it is so cold, I set it to come on a little early. I’m also going to have to go over there early as there is such a lot of snow in the parking lot.  I’ll have to clear my space, and likely quite a bit of the roadway to my space.  Then, from the parking area to the building because no-one else in the building does it.  It is so annoying.

We had a quick and cheerful dinner in Cocos Ichibanya Curry tonight and had the same thing.  We had soup curry with pari-pari chicken.  It was good, but just a little too hot for me. I’m quite a wimp when it comes to curry.

We came home after dinner.  If I’m up for it tomorrow night, I’ll cook at home, but if not, we’ll have to go out.  I’m not sure how I’ll feel after all the snow removal tomorrow.

We watched a bit of TV tonight.  F got to watch a bunch of stuff in Japanese and then I watched The Good Wife and did some mending.  The Good Wife was especially good tonight!

That’s about it.  Tomorrow I’ll be very busy, so I should try and get some extra sleep tonight.  Wish me luck.  Night.

Cheese curry with pari-pari chicken at level 8 (just at the threshold of what I could bear) was my guilty pleasure at Cocoichibanya. I sometimes crave it still!

Perhaps they can dial back the heat on your soup curry? I don't know if it can be customized like the other curries.

Ah, yummy memories!

Hey there!

Sadly, they can't change the heat on the soup curry. I think it is pre-made. I really am a wuss when it comes to spicy food these days. The soup curry was quite nice...lots of veggies in it too.

I suppose with the custom regulations I can't even send you some of the packaged curry. :-(

It was good though :-)

You've got me jonesing for curry now, Helen. There is a Coco Ichibanya here on the island, so we will give it a try some night for dinner. Thanks for reminding me that it's another dining choice besides Sato or Gusto or Osho.

Always glad to oblige! I hope you like it! I like the handmade chicken cutlet curry best, but they didn't have it right now.

They have 3 different versions of the soup curry if it strikes your fancy.

Thanks for visiting :-)
