Sunday - Warmish but cloudy
A good day. Yes!
I didn’t get up very early this morning. I slept in, but in a bizarre way, did get up before I usually do on Sundays. I was up before 12. Last night, F had proposed ordering in sushi for lunch. I was totally up for that suggestion, so that’s what he did. It arrived and we had a nice little feast. I had a tuna selection, and F had chirashi sushi-don. His looked okay, but mine was nice. We had a coupon so the whole meal (including the soup they gave us) was under 1500 yen. Not bad!
We vegged at home for a few hours this afternoon. We mostly watched old Top Gear shows. They crack me up. Finally F suggested going out for karaoke, so we did that. We went to the place near the grocery store. We were given a VIP room, probably because they were busy, and we had a great old time. I did a lot of different songs from the last time we went.
We came home after karaoke, and after 7 pm, F left to go to his meeting. He had to attend some family discussion about his late grandmother. I stayed home and watched Chocolat and then Young Adult with Charlize Theron. F came home when I was watching the latter and I wouldn’t leave for dinner until it was over. It was funny and sad and not for everyone.
We had a late and okay dinner at Marumatsu. I had chicken, F had noodles. He didn’t like his (as usual), I thought mine was okay bordering on pretty good. We went to the grocery store to pick up some chocolate and then came home again.
That was about it for our day. If, and it’s a big if, I get up in time, we might go and see Les Miz in the morning, but I’m not sure. I’d like to see it, but I don’t know if I want to see a sad movie in the morning! Got to go. Night.
