Friday - Snowy and windy

An odd day.

I got up this morning and promptly went back to bed.  The room was spinning and I just didn’t feel well.  I slept on for another hour and a half and then got up.

I watched a lot of TV during the day and then decided to go out and shovel F’s parking space for him.  I changed, got outside and was very surprised to see that someone else’s car was in his space!  I cleaned around the car, and then went back in.  I’m not sure why they were in his spot, but it was terribly annoying.

F came home finally a bit late and in a horrid tither.  He’d lost his wallet, probably last night, because he couldn’t find it this morning.  He had it before we came home and since then, it is lost.  He spent some time looking for it.  We called the last shop that he had it in, nothing.  Frankly, he drove me a little crazy.  He loses so many things.  He still hasn’t found it.  It was so late when I finally said, “I’m hungry and would like to eat something.”  It took him 20 minutes to pull enough coins out of his coin box to go out.  I had offered to pay for dinner in case anyone thinks I didn’t.

We went to Cocos and had a fairly decent dinner.  Afterwards we drove by my school to set the heater and then went to the grocery store.

We came home and F made some bread and I relaxed as much as I could.  I watched quite a few TV programmes and enjoyed them a lot.  I just finished watching Colin Firth (my next husband) on the Actors Studio.  I think I’ll make him wear that shirt on our wedding night. (LOL!)

And that’s about it. I have an afternoon class tomorrow and then it’s on with the long weekend.  Don’t know whether to look forward to it or fear it.  Fear it is winning.  C’est la vie.  Must be off.  Night.

My husband lost his wallet twice. After that, we got one of those wallets that hook to belt loops and have an expandable cable (like an old-fashioned connection between the telephone receiver and base) attached to them. It can be removed from your pocket, but it is always tethered to a belt loop. This means they are impossible to lose (or extremely difficult).

F. might want to try this to help make sure that he never loses his wallet again!

Happily, about 3 minutes before I found your comment, he found his wallet...in the pair of pants he was wearing that night. (Eye roll)

If you knew the difficulty I had to buy him that wallet, you might not suggest getting him another one! It is a good idea...and I'll definitely suggest it to him next time he gets a new wallet. (This one was a Christmas present so it's a little soon to replace it!)

Thanks for your suggestion. I do think it is a good one.

My husband left his good coat on the Shinkansen this week. I'd say he loses things at least once a week, if not more. He is very forgetful. Every time we ride the train, you can be sure he will leave his hat or coat or cell phone behind. Would you believe that he lost his cell phone in the San Francisco airport, they found it, and he just happened to have another trip there the next week so he could pick it up??? I was amazed at how everything worked out well that time.

That was a lucky coincidence Crafty! It is good to know that someone else's DH is forgetful. Sometimes I think that no one could possibly understand, so it is good to hear that you're in the same boat.

Sadly, he didn't find the scarf that I made for him. He probably lost it on the airplane. He called the airport and the airline, but they didn't find it. Sigh.
