Sunday - Hot and Sunny, gorgeous day

A good day!

F and I both slept in quite late this morning.  We finally woke up around 10 and talked about going for breakfast.  Unfortunately, it was really too late to go, so we waited until after 11 and went for brunch.  We invited K along too so that was nice.

We went to a place in the Bussan-Kan.  It was a fish restaurant so of course I had chicken.  It wasn’t terrible but…F and K had noodles and fish so they were quite happy.  After lunch, they had a look around the fish shop area, I looked around the souvenir section, but didn’t find anything I needed.

We came back to the house and we all took naps for a couple of hours.  Around 2 I went to use the washroom and then as I was going back to the room, I heard the doorbell.  It turned out that it was F’s nephew and his family.  Yay! K invited them in and F sorted out drinks for everyone.

After a bit, I gave them the blanket I made for their little one and they seemed to really like it!  They wrapped her in it for a minute and it looked really nice on her.  It was too hot today for a blanket though!

They left and F and I decided to go out.  We went to Tokai, the craft store.  I had a good search around, but didn’t buy anything.  Sigh. It’s sad, but I couldn’t see anything I really wanted.  We went over to S-Mall and went to the hundred yen shop. I picked up a few things for my trip and then went to pay. I had my wallet out, with a 500 yen coin in the coin purse to give the guy.  The bill came to 432 yen or something.  F gives the man 400 and two yen.  What the heck?  I had told him I was going to pay and he gives that strange amount.  I looked at him and he coughed up the other 30 yen too.  I didn’t have 30 yen in my wallet, but it was a silly, if sweet thing for him to do.

We went to Doutors for some coffee and wifi.  We nursed our coffee for quite a while, then went to the grocery store.  We were planning to just get K something to go with the fish she bought earlier. However, a man was selling freshly made gyoza, so we bought some. He gave us a deal and included a couple of other things, so then I got the bright idea to have dinner at the house.

We had to go to another grocery store to get some stuff for me and for lunches tomorrow, but that didn’t take too long.  We came back to the house and had dinner with K.  I think she was happy to join us, even though she’d already gone to bed!

I did the dishes afterwards and then F and I came upstairs.  We watched an episode of Twin Peaks together but it was really, really weird.  After that, I offered to put on a movie or something else, but F wasn’t interested, so I watched the end of Blindspot.  It was pretty darn good, but a little odd in how it ended.

And that’s about it.  It was a quiet evening. Both F and I took showers and he’s in bed. I’m listening to my latest iTunes Mix to see if it is good enough to burn to cd, but it isn’t.  Sigh.  I needed to edit it anyway…this will just help a little more.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be a bit cloudy, so I think I might go out for a bit.  I have an urge to get out of the house under my own power for a change.  If I do, I’ll let you know later.  I’m done for now.  Come back on Monday and see what happens.  Until tomorrow….

Just catching up on your latest blog entries. Your blanket found it's way to the new baby! Isn't it nice when something you've made is so well received? :D

It is! I do have to say that it looked really good on her! I think the blanket looks like ice cream or something equally yummy!

Thanks for visiting :-)
