Friday - Muggy and rainy
An okay day.
I had a fairly quiet morning as usual. I got up, watched the news and then The Blacklist. It was quite good today!
I had a fairly quiet afternoon too. I watched a movie from the DVR and eventually had lunch. F popped in on his lunch hour but didn’t stay long.
In the evening, when F finished work he wanted me to tell him what food I wanted. I told him I wanted a big crunchy salad. He suggested udon. I wasn’t receptive. I told him we could discuss it when he got back to the house.
I suggested going to the store and getting bentos, he countered with ordering them. I suggested using the ordering place as a last resort. We got some stuff at the grocery store. F got an assortment of cooked fish for him and his mother, I got myself a piece of chicken and a salad.
We came back to the house and ate. F, of course, took ages cooking his udon, and then as soon as it was done slurped it up immediately. It wasn’t very nice coming to the table with everyone else eating. Funny thing is that since I didn’t cook, I should have been sitting down at the table first, not last. Grumble grumble.
I washed my dishes afterwards, then dried them too. When F washed his dishes, I helped him by drying them. I went upstairs after that.
I suggested that we go out for ice cream since it was so hot inside. F was okay with it, but then I found a bunch in the freezer. We had that instead and ate in the living room.
We came upstairs and I watched Castle. F was all for going out, but I wasn’t going to leave in the middle of Castle. We watched The Good Doctor together and I did some crochet. I took a shower and when I came back I went to my computer for a bit.
That was my day. It was so dull and boring and hot and sticky really. I know summer has barely started but I’m tired of it already.
