Sunday - Sunny and warm
A good day!
We slept in quite late this morning, but F got up before I did. He took his mother off to the onsen and lunch. I stayed at the house and took care of a personal chore and then got dressed. I spent some time on my computer and had some breakfast too.
When F and K came back, I was wrapping my ornament for my Secret Santa partner. I got it done and then F and I went out. First, we had lunch at Gusto. I was surprised that F suggested it since he doesn’t like Gusto at all. I ended up having soy milk carbonara when my first choice of keema curry wasn’t available.
After lunch, we took my ornament to a convenience store and sent it off. I hope it gets there on time.
We had some time before our movie so we went to Foodever and F had a coffee and I had some cake - I did share a bite of it. That was nice.
We went to see A Quiet Place. My sister had recommended it a few months ago and it has only now come to our local cinema. It was great. I thought it was smart and scary and well thought out. I would definitely see it again if I had the chance.
After the movie, F wanted to go for dinner but neither of us was hungry. One minute he suggested a new steak place in town, the next Keisen-sushi. I talked him out of both for a few minutes. I asked that we go to the hundred yen shop in Pal shopping centre. We ended up spending a while there. I wanted to check out the menswear store for my nephew. I got something, but I don’t know if it’ll fit. F got himself a new shirt.
We also went into the bookstore. I had a good old snoop around. There was quite a bit that I was interested in. They had some bilingual cookbooks for Japanese food, some craft books and there were a few DVDs and CDs for sale. I didn’t buy anything, but F got himself a magazine and a book that I told him I liked, Unbeaten Tracks in Japan. The version he got was in both Japanese and English.
Then we hit up the 100yen shop and I bought more crochet cotton. We left rather quickly as F wanted to go to an electronic store to buy new light bulbs for my part of the room.
When we got to the store, it was closed. We tried another hardware store, but it had closed too. F decided to try a grocery store and went in. I went too but detoured into its hundred yen shop. Long story short, I got more crochet cotton there too. I also got bags for Christmas gifts and that’s about it.
F did get light bulbs, but had to go back and change it as he’d got the wrong size. It wasn’t a problem.
We had dinner in Togashi, a yakiniku place near the stores. It was a good dinner as they are an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves.
We did a quick grocery shop afterwards. I’m going to cook dinner tomorrow night, so got in a few supplies for that. I also got my usual stuff for my lunches for the next few days.
We came back to the house and had a fairly chatty evening. I took a shower and F changed my lightbulbs for me. It turns out he probably should have got the first light bulb he saw, but who knew?
It just was a good, productive, fun day out with my husband, and that doesn’t happen too often.
Come back later if you will and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
