Saturday - Very Warm and Sunny

I slept in today, so did F a bit. He got up after a while and went to the doctor as he said he would. He came back a bit before 11 and made himself and his mother some noodles.  He did offer me some, but I didn’t want any.

We decided to take my printer to the electric shop to see if it could be repaired. I basically knew what was wrong with it, but I don’t have the technical know-how to fix it.  When we got there, it turned out to be almost as expensive to fix it as to buy a new one…so we bought a new one.  It has a scanner and a bilingual screen like my others so once I get it set up I’ll be quite happy I hope.

We had lunch at the keiten-sushi place near the electric shop. It was good, but a bit expensive. Oh dear.

We came back to the house and tried to set up the printer.  We didn’t manage it yet. F kept annoying me, not on purpose I think, but when I’m thinking about something I don’t like to be distracted. F is always distracting!

I finally chucked it in for the night and made my poor husband take me out for a drink.  I suggested going to a place near City Hall, so after he hit up the bank, we did.  We had a nice drink (well, I did!) and use a lot of wifi!

Since F and I couldn’t really agree on dinner (he wanted to make MORE noodles) we decided to go to a grocery store and see what the bento situation was. It was okay! We ended up getting three different bentos and bringing them back. F made miso soup for us, which was a bit of a waste in my books, but whatever. I had a bibinba type bento, and F & K had more traditional styled ones.

We did the dishes and then left for the theatre. Finally, there was a film in Tsuruoka in English! We went to see Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It was fun, not a great film, but okay, and quite good in parts.  The monster battles were fun.

After the movie, we came back to the house and spent a quiet evening in. I took a shower and F has been in bed/sleeping for a while now.

I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. F has some local community service stuff to do in the morning, I’d like to get out for a bit since I will probably be in most of Monday working on my new printer.

Come back later if you are up to it and see how Sunday goes.  Until tomorrow….

Yes, I have been blogging for about 20 years. I actually never thought that I would continue this long.

It's never too late to start keeping a diary though. You don't have to publish it on the internet, sometimes privacy is a good thing. I did keep a diary when I was younger and quite enjoy looking back at it and how naive I was at times!

I'm sorry that your life hasn't gone the way you hoped. Being abused as a child leaves many scars. Have you been able to talk to someone about it? You can try therapy, there are all sorts. I hope that you can get some help for yourself. Please don't do anything rash or hasty.

It is a hard life, but there are people who can help you and who care about you. You have to do the work to find them, but sometimes just asking for help is the biggest, hardest part.

Take care of yourself!
