Sunday - Rainy or cloudy
After yesterday’s rather bad day, I was afraid that today would be bad too. It wasn’t! It was actually rather wonderful, so that was a nice thing. I went to bed terribly late last night, so planned to sleep in. My alarm went off at 10 am, it woke me in mid-dream. F was awake but was still in bed. We had a bit of a snuggle, it was very PG-13 but nice.
He got up after I did. We got dressed and decided what to do with ourselves. We asked his mother if she wanted to come out with us and go for lunch, but she had already eaten.
F and I went out and only agreed on Foodever. It was a good choice though. He had a donburi and I had gapao rice again. It was good.
We went back to the car and then started driving over town to check something out for F. He wanted a Drive Recorder for our car and he also wanted a car navigation system that he could use at work. He found both today, but they were in different places. We drove around a lot looking for them.
After he bought his stuff we went to Komeda Coffee for a drink and some dessert. I did say to him that we had to leave the coffee place at 5 pm because we had things to do. For a change, we actually did that.
We bought K a bento at MaxValu then delivered it. When she was eating her bento, we left the house. We drove over to Machi-ne-Kinema and went to see Spider-man: Far From Home. I liked it a lot. I think Tom Holland was excellent and the scenes of him being a kid were great. I wasn’t quite as happy about the scenes with the villain, but even they were okay.
After the movie we went for dinner. F suggested a seafood restaurant near the station so we went there. It’s an izakaya at night, so as soon as we went in we could smell the cigarette smoke. Bleck. We ordered, but were told we couldn’t have what we wanted as they didn’t have any rice. We ordered some other things off the menu and they took forever to arrive. We had nankotsu and it was okay, seafood yakisoba that was much too salty, a huge serving of squid tempura and a roasted salmon with lemon sauce dish. The tempura was good, but huge, the salmon was good but it all took much too long. We spent longer in the store than we wanted to.
We picked up a few groceries at the store and then came back to the house. I got the garbage ready to go out and then went upstairs.
And that’s about that. We had a good day. Shopping with F was a bit boring cause I don’t really need the equipment he was buying, but he seemed happy to have me with him and I have dragged him through enough stores that a few for him will help balance the scales.
Tomorrow is Canada Day, but I’m stuck at the house probably. I might go out in the afternoon if the weather is okay. If not, I’ll probably stay in and do something here. Come back later and see what I do. Until tomorrow….
