Friday - Sunny and nice

Well, it’s happened. Japan is under a state of emergency so we’re not supposed to go out anymore. We are allowed to go to the grocery store and the drugstore and such, but for the most part are supposed to stay in our houses. I am mostly glad that Japan has finally taken this step, but I’m sad for me! I like to go out on weekends. Still, I’ll manage and if it’ll help slow down this dread virus so much the better.

I got up this morning early, but couldn’t stay awake. I watched the news but fell asleep on the non-English news twice! I meant to just fast forward through it.

I was up a bit late, but went downstairs and got my breakfast. I went with the dependable cereal and yogurt again.

I had a quiet morning. I started to watch a movie, The Billionaire Boys Club with Taron Egerton but kept getting interrupted. F even texted me and said he’d try to get the afternoon off.  He did, and came back about an hour later to check on his mother.

I watched the news at 4 pm and then when it was over went downstairs to get started on dinner.  My prep was already started, so it didn’t take that long. We had coro-coro steak, fried mushrooms, salad, chawanmushi and miso soup. F and his mother had rice, I skipped it. We had dessert too as F had picked up ice cream a couple of days ago.

Dinner was good and got great reviews. After dinner, F did most of the dishes, I dried them. Then, he set up the bread maker and I came upstairs and got ready for my video chat session. Yes, another one!  This was for my Duos group and it was nice seeing some of the ladies for the first time in ages. I even “met” a couple for the first time!

After the meeting ended, I took a shower, watched a little TV off the DVR and then turned off the TV.  It’s a little late now, but it is a Friday night and we can’t go anywhere tomorrow. Ack!

So, that’s it for me for today. Not sure what will happen tomorrow. We will have to get some food as we don’t have a lot in the house…Japanese customs and such.  Come back later if you like and see what we get up to. Until tomorrow….
