Thursday - Cloudy in the morning, sunny later on
I woke up a few minutes early again today. I got up, went downstairs and then came back up and watched the news. I got dressed somewhere around 9:30 which was a good thing. Around 10 the doorbell rang! I grabbed a mask and went downstairs to answer the door. It was F’s Uncle delivering a box of persimmons. I took the box, said thank you and he left! He had rung the doorbell and even banged on the door, but K didn’t hear him. I didn’t know if I should get her or not, but he left. I put the box in the kitchen and went back upstairs.
I had a quiet day upstairs. I watched a really bad movie with James Franco. I’m wondering if it is James Franco that I don’t like or his awful movie! I also got to writing my column. I’m not quite finished, but now I only have one good movie to write about and three bad ones. The bad ones are fun sometimes.
For lunch, I made myself some taco salad and had a bagel with it. That was nice. I didn’t see K at all today, during the day.
I knew that F would be late tonight, but he messaged me and said he’d be back after 9 pm. Oh wow! That was really late. And, he was too.
Around 5:30 I went downstairs and started on dinner. I did a bit of prep and then cooked. Tonight it was Korean food. I’ve been a bit ethnic this week! We had Mexican and now Korean! I like flavours. Tonight I made chap chae without meat, bulgogi from the grocery store and bibinba rice from a packet. Everything was really nice I thought. I also reheated the leftover eggplant stir-fry from yesterday and around 7 pm K and I ate dinner. She must have liked it because she helped herself to some seconds!
After we finished I did all the clean up in the kitchen while listening to my podcasts. Tonight it was Canadian news (Yay CBC!) and then Kermode & Mayo’s Film Review from the BBC. I really enjoy them, they are knowledgable and funny too.
I went upstairs and wrote a bit of my column. F called me a little later and said he was finally done. It was around 8:40, so he got back here around 9. I heated up his dinner and then he ate in the living room where it was warmer than the kitchen.
He was quite tired so after he washed his dish, he took a shower. I went upstairs and got ready to take mine.
F went to bed fairly soon after his shower, I’m still up but I hope to go to bed a little earlier than last night.
Anyway, that’s about it for me. It was a good if quiet day. I have no idea what to do about dinner tomorrow night though. I’m not sure if F will want to go out or if I should cook something.
