Wednesday - Sunny but cold

Today was my day off and I’m glad it was. I just could not wake up this morning. I got up this morning and then watched the news from the bed. I woke up long after the news was finished!

I got up finally, started a load of laundry and then started on dinner. Today I made a minced meat stew in my slow cooker. It took a little while to put together, but soon it was bubbling away.

In the afternoon, I watched a little YouTube and then had lunch. After lunch, I checked my lessons for tomorrow and then relaxed a little bit.

F called around 5:30 so I went downstairs and started getting things ready for dinner. When F arrived he said he’d like to eat around 7 pm so I had time to kill for a change!

Dinner was fine. We had stew, K and F had it with rice, I had it with couscous. Nobody had seconds which kind of worried me but oh well. As usual I got to do all the clean up. I listened to a BBC news podcast for a change and then some of Pride and Prejudice, plus a podcast by a friend.

Around 10:15 I took a shower and then came upstairs to watch Shameless. It was its usual weird and wackiness.

I do have an early start tomorrow morning so I’d like to get a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow is also the 10th anniversary of the big earthquake. NHK has been running shows about it which I have been studiously avoiding. On Monday I caught a show about the song that they play around this time of year, Hana wa Saku (Flowers will Bloom) and I nearly bawled my eyes out. It was an international version, I’ll see if I can link it here.

So that’s it for me. I’ll catch you all later, probably! Until tomorrow….
