Friday - Sunny and warm

I woke up early this morning because F made noise when he was going to work. I went downstairs and then stayed up until he left for work. Then I reset my alarms and went back to sleep. I slept a bit late, sue me!

I got up and went downstairs. I got breakfast, came back upstairs and ate. I had a fairly quiet morning and then early afternoon. I had a bagel for lunch and gave K half of the leftovers from dinner yesterday. I took the other half.

I watched an episode of The Walking Dead today. It was a scary good one, and it was long! I really didn’t think it would be longer than an hour so I missed the start of the news. No worries.  

I went downstairs to start dinner after F called. Today I was making another quiche. I had left half of the mix yesterday, but today I added more cheese and some cooked mushrooms. I also put a couple of cheese slices on top and it looks pretty when it was baked.

Dinner was good tonight. I had cooked porcini ravioli and served that with pesto sauce, the crustless quiche and then some sautéed mushrooms plus a salad. I think it was a lovely dinner. I really liked it. F didn’t want any extras which did make me a bit sad, because I think he was thinking to have another “meal” later on. Hmm.

I did the dishes, same old, same old. I went upstairs afterwards and when F came up suggested going out for a little. We have to be careful where we go because there has been a bit of a cluster of cases in Tsuruoka now. They are mostly high school students…. F started whining about how expensive it is to go out for coffee. True enough, but he’s never complained before.  I wasn’t actually thinking of going for coffee, I had suggested dessert and then asked about going somewhere with a drive-through. He reluctantly agreed. 

We ended up going through the drive-through at McDonald's. We got Flurries with Oreo cookies. I made him stop the car and we sat in the parking lot and ate and did a little chatting. It was nice. 

We came back to the house. I took a shower soon afterwards and then came upstairs to blog and watch stuff on YouTube. 

And that’s about it for my day. It was okay. We have doctor appointments tomorrow but not sure what else we should and can get up to. Come back later and hear all about it. Until tomorrow….
