Thursday - Cold and dreary, with rain

I didn’t wake up with my alarm this morning. I slept through it and woke up twenty minutes later! I got up, went downstairs and came back to watch the rest of the news. After it finished I put on the early news and watched it. I may have napped a little at the end of the news as I woke up around 10.  I got dressed and then went downstairs to get my breakfast. 

K was in the kitchen doing something with her Fuki from the garden. I moved around her to grab my breakfast and then I went back upstairs.

I had breakfast. I decided to text F and see how he was. It was a good thing as he was happy to hear from me and a little later he phoned me. 

Later I watched a little bit of YouTube. I decided that I would print out the next month’s TV & Movie listing for my cable channel. I also wanted to recycle some of my old lesson plans. However, my printer wasn’t cooperating. I spent ages trying to get it to work. I think it didn’t like the recycled paper. I had to end up using the back feeder to finish it up. 

I went downstairs after 2 to grab my lunch. I had a nice lunch today, I had a cucumber open sandwich and it was great. I also had cheese and ham, plus some salad. After I ate my lunch I watched today’s episode of The Walking Dead. It was a bit gruesome and sad today. Some nice people died and some bad people got blowed up real good. The good thing is the gang is back together. Hurray.

I watched the news and then after a bit went downstairs to get dinner started. F called me and said he was on his way. I put a coating on the chicken, cut up some daikon, and prepared the okra I had in the fridge.  When he arrived I cooked the chicken and the okra, made some rice, and F brought us some cucumber sushi and some katsuo sashimi. 

We had a pretty good dinner and for a change, there was some chicken leftover. I thought there would be more, but there wasn’t! 

After I finished the dishes and came upstairs, F was in bed all wrapped up. I was tired and didn’t want to go out and it was obvious that F didn’t want to go out either. I asked him if he’d pick some stuff up for us on his way back to the house tomorrow and he said he would. That would be nice. 

We had a quiet evening in. I tried a new-for-me series on Apple TV+, Trying. It was about a British couple trying to become parents. The first episode was funny. I’m not sure if I’ll continue watching it. I’ll probably catch one or two more episodes before I decide.

I also caught the first episode of a new WOWOW series called Leonardo. It was okay. I’ll probably check out the next episode but I haven’t programmed the DVR yet.

And really, that’s about it for my day. It was better than yesterday even though the weather was quite sucky. I’m not sure what my day will be like tomorrow but I think I need to do some laundry! Come back later if you like and hear all about my Friday. Until tomorrow….
