Friday - Warm and Sunny

I went to bed last night and the room was spinning. I wasn’t sure what was going on. This morning when I woke up, same thing.  I decided that I would take it easy in the morning. That’s why, when F FaceTimed me, I was half asleep. Or all asleep. I’m not sure. Long story short, he’s taking next Tuesday off.

I got up and did a load of laundry. I grabbed my breakfast and K was in the kitchen again! Argh.  I just measured out my cereal and yogurt and ran. I watched a movie in the morning. It wasn’t great but it was okay.

I had a quiet afternoon. I folded up my dry laundry and put it away, I wrote some email too. After lunch, I watched another episode of The Walking Dead. They introduced a new character today and I was surprised that he was played by Tom Payne who plays Malcolm Bright on Prodigal Son. I was surprised to recognize him. He has a lot more hair on The Walking Dead…and…Rick and another character started a romantic relationship! Surprise.

I watched the news and a bit afterwards F called again to say that he wasn’t finished work yet. He would be back late today. Oh, dear. We hadn’t gone to the grocery store last night so we didn’t have any salad or fresh veggies. He asked me to make something for his mother. I had originally planned to make pasta for dinner but changed my mind. I had a couple of things in the freezer for such an occasion. 

I went downstairs around 6 pm and got to work.  I cooked three hamburger steaks from the freezer and boiled them to cook/defrost them. I got out some soup and also cooked some fried rice I had in the freezer.  

K and I ate and we ate everything! I asked her if she wanted more fried rice and she said yes, so I opened another bag and cooked it. She ate most of that too! I feel bad that there wasn’t more food for her, but there wasn’t much left afterwards.

I had just cleared the table when F arrived. I expected that he’d go upstairs to change, but instead, he just headed to the kitchen to make his noodles.  I offered him the leftover burger and the rice and he accepted. I wanted to wash the dishes, but he kept getting in the way. As I was getting really frustrated, I decided to leave the kitchen.  I went upstairs and watched videos on my computer for a few minutes!

I went downstairs after a while and F was cleaning up the kitchen so I grabbed a towel and helped to dry the dishes. 

F didn’t want to go out even though I said I did. He would have taken me to the grocery store though…? I don’t cook on the weekend, what the heck was he thinking? I had hoped to go for a coffee or something but it was not to be.

We had a quiet evening in. I took a shower and I also finished a novel that I’ve been reading for ages. It was okay but not great.

I had planned to watch some Apple TV but I ended up writing some email. It was a good thing as I have owed people email for days!

And that’s my day. I’m not completely sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I’m hoping that we’ll go and see a movie tomorrow as there is finally a new one at the cinema in English. Come back later and hear all about what I get up to. Until tomorrow….
