Tuesday - Sunny and warm

I had another late night on Monday night and slept a little late today. However, I did get up when F came back in the room and said that we were going to leave around 11.  I had a lot to do! I had to have breakfast and get dressed, so I did that. F had originally planned to go to one mountain but I asked him to check to see if it was open. Some of the mountains around us don’t open for traffic for a while. It was a good thing that I did that, as the mountain wasn’t open yet.

F changed his mind and decided that we’d go to another mountain instead. It was still fine.  

I was ready, K was ready and even F was ready on time, or close to it. F had cleaned out the back seat of the car for his mother, which is great.  We drove off towards Chokai no Mori. I mostly managed to stay awake!  We got up the mountain and walked around a little. F got us to bundle back in the car and we drove to another area where he made us walk up some steps and then up to an Observatory. I was a bit worried about K, she managed but did ask to sit down once we got in the Observatory. We had a little look around, we were all alone in the building for a while. 

We left and had a bit of a hike for K and a walk for F and me to the car. We drove back in the direction of Tsuruoka and found a cafe in Shonai-machi. 

We had a late lunch there and it was quite nice. I had pasta and F and K had pilaf.  We enjoyed our lunches and then came back to the house. 

F and I took naps and I think K did too! We were all quite tired and enjoyed having a restful afternoon. F and I didn’t talk about dinner until after 7. K was still in bed, so we just let her stay there! I suggested going to Gusto and F was okay with that.

We got halfway down the block when F realized that he didn’t have his wallet! We went back, picked it up and went off.  We had an okay meal at Gusto. We ordered off the tablet and then F decided to add one last thing to our order, some take-out for his mother. No problem, but something flashed on the screen and he just punched one of the two buttons. I got quite mad at him. I’d set the screen in English and I knew darn well that he hadn’t read the screen before he punched the button, because I hadn’t been able to read the screen.  

It turns out that he’d ordered it to come now rather than at the end of the meal because the waitress came and checked with me. F was at the drink bar. I understood the first bit of what she said but not the second, so I sent her off to ask F. He said the same thing I did, so she was happy.

F and I both had chicken. I had some roasted chicken with an oroishi sauce, F had a kara-age set meal. We shared fries and had drink bar too. 

After we ate, we got the bento for K and came back to the house. We also got some free plates from Gusto. They are giving away small free plates if you spend more than 2000 yen, which we did. 

F got K up to eat her bento and I came upstairs. I relaxed for a while and after 10:45 I went down and took a shower.  When I came back up I watched the tv programme I had been recording and started my blogging for the night.

So, that’s about it for me. It was a good day. F has one more day of his Golden Week and I think we might go shopping for jeans for him tomorrow. It depends on how he feels I think.
