Sunday - Rainy and humid

I had another sleep-in day today. I did manage to wake up sometime around 11 though. F was up earlier and made lunch for his mother. When I got up, F talked about where to eat and to be honest, I didn’t want to. I’m so tired of F suggesting places that he knows I hate or turning his nose up at mine.  I suggested that we go to Nagomi, a place I like that serves udon and soba. We’ve been going there for years and both of us like it. F liked that idea happily.

We went out for our brunch. F visited a bank machine and then we went to Nagomi. We were able to get right in and ordered. F had cold udon with tempura and I had umeboshi cold udon. I didn’t know quite what to expect, but mine was really good. It was full of lovely flavours and the noodles were good.

After our meal, we came back to the house and relaxed, or at least I did!  F took a shower and then we got back in the car. He dropped me off at S-Mall and went off to have his massage. I did a little shopping and even picked up my knife at the hundred yen shop. I filled in a point seal campaign paper and got a knife for 400 yen. I hope it is a good one.

I made a quick trip through the grocery store and then went to Doutor. I found a seat and drank a decaf soy latte and enjoyed it a lot.  F just showed up a few minutes later and he had a decaf iced latte and I had another drink, an iced rooibos tea. Yum.

We left the mall and went to the electric shop. I did some shopping while we were there. I bought some new ink cartridges for my printer and I picked up a headset and mike set for my computer. It cost less than the ink did!

We next hit up a drugstore and bought a few things that we needed. We got some tissues for K and some adult beverages for F, some cream to put on bug bites (we’ve both had bites recently), but they didn’t have the hand soap I’ve been looking for.

We stopped in at a grocery store near the house to get K a bento. We went into the house and unpacked the shopping. I put mine upstairs. K got her food and then F and I headed out again.

Tonight we went to Togashi, the yakiniku restaurant. It was F’s idea. We went in, but they were busy and suggested we come back in 45 minutes or so.

F suggested going to the hardware shop to pick up some drinks for his mother. I didn’t mind, so we went there and he checked out the drinks. While he was grabbing the box of soda, I found the hand soap I had been looking for. Woot. We paid and put them in the car.

We drove back to the yakiniku shop and after a few minutes went in. We were able to get a table and had a fabulous meal. We had a set menu plate and added on some vegetable soup and nameru. It was fun to be out with F at this place. I just hope that the food didn’t upset his stomach.

After our dinner, we picked up some groceries. Neither of us really wanted meat for tomorrow’s dinner, so I am going to do eggs. I haven’t decided if it will be omelettes or scrambled eggs, tune in later and find out!

We came back to the house and I unpacked the groceries. We came upstairs and relaxed for a bit. I decided not to take a shower, I’ll take one tomorrow night. I watched Project Runway and it was great. I was a bit sad about who was sent home, but the show itself was good.

And that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow I have to do some last-minute preparation for Tuesday’s classes. I need to check my clothes and last-minute lesson stuff.

Come back later if you’d like and find out what I get up to on Monday. Until tomorrow….
