Saturday - Hot and Sunny and Humid

I had a pretty hard time getting myself out of bed this morning. I really didn’t want to get up. I dragged myself out of bed around 9:30 however.

I watched the early on news and then I got dressed. F made some food for his mother then took a shower.  Around 11 o’clock, I was ready to go and he wasn’t even dressed yet. Unbelievable! He did get dressed and we zoomed off in the car. 

We went to our doctor’s office. We had an okay time there. I was greatly surprised that one of the nurses spoke English to me. It was a nice surprise! They also just took me into the back to take my blood pressure, didn’t even ask me out on the floor in front of other people! Yay. Things are okay basically. I got about 40 pages of my book read, so that was good. The doctor said that I might get my coupon for my vaccination near the end of the month. I hope so!

While we were waiting at the clinic to pay afterwards, F and I discussed lunch and wonder of wonders, came up with the same place, Arpeggio! Woot. After we picked up our medicine, we drove to the restaurant. 

We were able to get a table almost immediately and sat down. We had a pretty good lunch too. F got the 10 item lunch tray, it looked good, but I’m glad I didn’t go for it today. I had the bacon donburi and it was nice. I enjoyed it.

After lunch, I suggested going for a drink and F suggested going to Aomoriya. I was down with that. We went there and had to wait about 20 minutes, but then were able to go in and have a drink and some lovely fruit pie. 

We both had mango and strawberry pie with cafe au lait. It was lovely!

When we finished, we drove over to Shimamura where I bought a few pairs of socks. I also looked for and found something for a certain family member with a birthday coming up. 

We came back to the house after a quick grocery run to get something for K’s dinner and some ice cream! At the house, we sat with K in the living room for a while and all of us ate our ice cream. It was really good!

F and I came upstairs and turned on our AC and relaxed for a bit. Around 7:30 I started asking F about dinner. Around 8 we finally went out. Our first choice was a Korean izakaya, but when we got there, they were too busy. We went to an Indian restaurant instead. That was nice for a change. We had a couple dinner and had a really great dinner. Hopefully, F will be okay tomorrow!  We had chicken sag curry and pork curry and they were both nice.

We came back to the house around 10pm. I changed and then went downstairs to get the pasta salad ready to go tomorrow. We are planning to go to the next city to have lunch with a friend and her family tomorrow.

I watched a TV programme tonight and then turned it over to YouTube for a bit to see a few funny videos. It’s been rather fun!
