Friday - Sunny and Hot, really hot
I got up this morning and watched the news. I stayed awake for all of it and then had a bit of a snooze. I got up a bit later and did a load of laundry. Yay me!
I had a quiet morning but one where I had to think about the rest of my day. I had a video meeting at 3 pm and I had to figure out how to set up in my room. It got up to 31.9 up here so I turned on the air conditioner a little before my meeting and got the room cooled down. It was so nice!
I had an early lunch, and I didn’t give K anything to eat this afternoon. There was a fridge full of stuff and I thought that she could figure something out for herself.
I ate quickly, changed my clothes and then joined the meeting. It was good.
At 4 pm I watched the news and then a bit after 5 pm when F called me I went downstairs and got a start on dinner. Tonight was a simple one, pasta with mini-hamburg from the store plus salad and leftovers. It actually turned out rather well.
F brought us some ice cream when he came back to the house, so we had that for dessert. I did the dishes and listened to the Canadian news, followed by a couple of chapters of The Secret Garden. It was really good as usual, but the news was horrible. The little town in BC that experienced Canada’s hottest temperatures this week has basically burned to the ground. It is so sad.
After I finished the dishes I went upstairs and relaxed for a while. I watched a little YouTube and then went downstairs and took a shower.
I came back upstairs later and watched some Apple+TV, which I enjoyed. After a while, I went back to YouTube.
It was a pretty good day today overall. I’m not sure what we’re going to get up to tomorrow. I’m hoping to go and see a movie in the evening, but apart from that, I have no idea what will happen! Come back later and find out. Until tomorrow….
