Sunday - Rainy and cooler

I didn’t go to bed until 5 am or some such time. I was watching YouTube and blogging and reading my book on my phone, so I really just didn’t want to go to bed. I didn’t bother setting an alarm this morning, so I got up around 11 am. F went downstairs to make brunch for his mother and then came back upstairs.

We talked about going out for lunch and I suggested a really nice restaurant. He was okay with that, but both of us took too long to get ready and it was closed when we got there. Please believe me that I was ready a good ten minutes before my husband though!

I came up with another couple of restaurants but for some reason, he just kept driving in the wrong direction. I would suggest one near our old apartment and he’d just go sailing down the road, only to turn into a parking lot. He’d leave and go in the wrong direction again. I was so confused. Then he suggested a place I hate so I said no and that made him angry. We finally ended up at Jiro, which was fine with me. I like Jiro, but I wasn’t sure if he could find something to eat there. He did.

It was quite busy there and I wasn’t too happy about that. Still, we had a nice meal and then left.

F wasn’t feeling that great today, so after lunch, we just came back to the house for a while. I was less than pleased. After a bit of relaxing, we went out again to Komeda Coffee.

At Komeda, we sat in the old smoking area and had decaf coffee. It took about 20 minutes to come to us. They were busy, but that seemed a bit excessive! Still, we spent a nice hour or so there.

After our break, we went to the grocery store and picked up stuff for tomorrow’s dinner and tonight’s too. F got bentos for him and K, I got a few small things to share and eat myself. I just realized that I forgot to buy any bread for the week. Eye roll. I’ll have to take some bagels out of the freezer.

We came back to the house and ended up putting dinner out right away. Or, I put dinner on the table and F disappeared into the washroom. It was okay, but I didn’t have enough food really.

After dinner, surprise-surprise, F disappeared into the washroom again and I got to do the dishes. I wasn’t surprised. I did listen to some news and a bit of a podcast so that was good.

For most of the day, I’ve been reading Dead Heat, a Patricia Briggs novel. It’s really good and I have almost finished it. I got it from a website that tells me when books are on sale. I usually just get the free ones that interest me, but this was on sale and I like Patricia Briggs a lot, so it was a no-brainer for me.

We came upstairs and had a quiet evening. I showered and then watched Project Runway. It was the show where they made clothes for 6 Olympic athletes that were on the US team going to Tokyo in 2020. Ha ha ha. We all know how that turned out. I wonder if they’ll be going this year?! I liked most of the clothes so that was nice.

And that’s about it for me. Tomorrow I have to finish up planning my classes for Tuesday. I have to use computers in my second class so I’m a little nervous as I’ve never done that before, plus I’ll be observed by my supervisor. It’s been a while since someone watched me teach who wasn’t a student!

I’m also cooking curry for dinner as it’ll give us a choice of what to have on Tuesday night. I’ve told F that I’m not cooking on Tuesday, so if he wants the curry, he can heat it up for us. I hope he doesn’t!

Anyway, I have a few pages of my book to read. Come on back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
