 Thursday - Hot and sunny

I woke up this morning when F woke me up and asked me to phone his phone so he could find it. As I fumbled to put my glasses on while I phoned him, I remembered that last night he’d left it in the living room on the table after dinner. He disappeared and went to work!

I went back to bed and fell asleep again. I woke up about an hour later and dragged myself up and got dressed. Then, I watched the news from early on and snoozed a bit this morning.

I finally dragged myself out of bed and grabbed my breakfast. I came back upstairs and ate. I wrote some emails and before I knew it, it was time for lunch!

I went downstairs and got things together for lunch. I decided to just have some of the leftover curry. K got up and I asked her if she’d like to have some too. She said yes, so I gave her half plus some rice. I took mine upstairs and had it with some toast. That was nice. 

After lunch, I finally buckled down and prepared a lesson for Tuesday. One down and another one to do. I think it won’t be too bad though, at least I hope not! 

At 4 pm I watched the news and then waited for F to call. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, I decided to go downstairs and start working on dinner around 6 pm. F called me about 20 minutes later. He was looking for something important at his work and was having trouble finding it. After a bit, he called me back to say he was on the way back. 

I had prepared most of the dinner, it just needed cooking in some cases. I got things ready and then when he came back, I cooked. Tonight we had baked chicken with a herb coating, spicy cucumber pickle, okra with butter and garlic and bibinba rice. It was all quite nice!

As usual, I got to do the dishes. It wasn’t too bad tonight as I didn’t have to wash pans, but the kitchen was hot and I kept splashing myself. Ack!

I went upstairs when I finished and started to get ready to go out. We had to do grocery shopping. F was tired from work, so I didn’t want to make him wait too long.

We went over to MaxValu and I basically got the things that were on my list. F added a few things and I did too, but no big deal. We went through the self-checkout and didn’t fight today, so that was good! I am always a bit stressed when F and I do that. Happily, I made him remember that he should give me the heavy things first so they can go on the bottom!

We drove back to the house where we were surprised to see that the light had been turned off outside the house. We came in and a couple of minutes later K got up and had a bit of a yelling match with F. I was upset because the light was turned off, making it hard for me to see on the far side of the car. However, K said she turned it off because the light attracts bugs. I understand that, and I hadn’t thought of it, but…I need to see where I’m going! Don’t know if she has thought about what would happen if I broke my ankle or something. 

F and I put the groceries away and then I headed upstairs. I relaxed for a bit and then watched Leonardo. The show is odd, but the guy is cute!

F’s been having trouble sleeping again, but I hope he’s fallen asleep by now. 

Tomorrow I have to do some laundry and plan my other lesson for next week. If I have the chance I’d like to watch an episode of The Walking Dead. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do that or not.
