Friday - Muggy and hot
I woke up on time this morning and went downstairs. I came back up and watched the news. After that, at 9:00 am there was another episode of what I call “The Piano Show”. The producers put pianos down in public places and film the people who sit down and play. Sometimes it is wonderful. Today they used Los Angeles and there were some talented musicians there.
After that, I did have a little bit of a snooze, but when I woke up, I did a load of laundry and grabbed my breakfast.
I had a fairly standard and quiet day today. I did get stuck into my planning for the other class and prepped quite a bit. If all the technology works next week things will be fine. I hope!
I even found time to watch an episode of The Walking Dead. Woot. I just saw one episode this week, but at the moment there are only 3 episodes left on the DVR.
I watched the news and then F called soon after. I went downstairs to get a start on dinner. It was horrible downstairs. For some reason, I just started to sweat and sweat. It was more humid downstairs or something. Fortunately, tonight’s dinner was quite simple. I just did pasta with salad and duck breast on the side. It’s simple but seemed to be okay. As usual, I have too many leftovers. Neither K nor F wanted seconds tonight. Sigh.
F came back to the house and brought some flowers so there was a bit of a ballyhoo finding a vase. I left that to K and F. I worked on dinner and got it on the table before 7 pm so I thought I was doing well.
After dinner, I cleared the table and then went to the washroom. While I was in there, I heard the dishes clank together. I went back to the kitchen and there was F doing the dishes! I was glad and a bit worried. I chased him off though. He doesn’t always wash them very well, but today it seemed like he did! I dried what he’d done and then finished up the few things that hadn’t been done yet. I listened to my news podcast and then another chapter of The Secret Garden.
When I finished the dishes I went upstairs. F was relaxing and did ask if I wanted to go out or something, but he wasn’t really making sense. Of course, we didn’t go out as usual.
F took a shower early on and I took one a bit later. After my shower, I put on some AppleTV and watched a few shows. I’m watching one about a woman with an eating disorder and I’m really ambivalent about it. I like some of it, but she’s really unkind to herself AND other people which makes her hard to like. I’m not sure if I’ll continue with that one.
And basically, that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow we have to pick up someone’s glasses (probably mine) and I also hope to go to see a movie tomorrow night. Fingers crossed that we can.
