Friday - Hot and sunny
I got up this morning and did my usual stuff. It was lovely not to have been woken up by my husband though. I got up, watched the news and then had a bit of a nap. A while later I got up and dressed.
Yesterday, F had said that he thought he’d leave the hospital early, so I suggested going out to Mikawa to see a movie. When I hadn’t heard from F by 11 am, I knew that wouldn’t happen. He called at 11:20 to say he was still at the hospital and would be for another couple of hours. Sigh.
I had a very late breakfast and waited around for F. He came back somewhere close to 2 pm. He made something for his mother’s lunch and then we decided to go out. Of course, most places would have finished their lunchtimes by 3 pm. We ended up going for sushi to Kappa Sushi. It was pretty good, to be honest. I enjoyed most of the stuff that we had and F didn’t complain about the sushi as much as usual. Yay.
After lunch, we went to S-Mall where I mailed my postcards from yesterday and then bought my husband a glass of decaf cafe latte. We both had that. F wasn’t feeling great and was a bit tired so I suggested getting something like a bento for K’s dinner. We checked out the grocery store and F grabbed her some stuff. After that, he vanished for a couple of minutes, so I paid with his money and then waited for him. We just came back to the house.
We took a nap for a couple of hours. F woke us up around 7 pm, he gave his mother the bento and then we talked a little about dinner. We even watched the fireworks at 7:33. They were quite nice today.
F got all grumpy about dinner again and said he was going to go and have ramen. That sort of attitude is really annoying. He won’t make any reasonable suggestions, just wants that crap in his gob.
After a break, I suggested going to a Chinese Restaurant near our old apartment. F was okay with that while he was here, but when we arrived he whined that the ramen in this place wasn’t up to his standards. I reminded him that he didn’t have to have it!
We went in and basically, it went downhill from there. He decided not to order ramen but picked one of the few dishes that I won’t eat, another noodle dish. I had suggested getting fried rice to share, but he wanted noodles instead. I got a plate of deep-fried chicken, basically, it was sweet and sour pork but made with chicken. It was good, but it wasn’t really enough. Halfway through his noodles, F asked me if I’d like to order something else. I assumed he meant just for myself, but I guess he could have meant for us to share, but I said no. I had wanted more vegetables.
We left but I asked that we stop at a convenience store. F carefully went past our old apartment for a change on the way back. It was nice to see it again, but there were curtains on the window, so someone is living there. Sigh. I miss the place but am glad I don’t have to live with the mould anymore.
I made him stop in at the convenience store so I could get a couple of things. He picked a couple of things up too. I tried to pay and then he did, it was just annoying. He gave me the change from earlier in the day and said that I should pay for stuff, but when I tried he gave me the money back. Argh.
We came back to the house. I relaxed for a bit and then took a shower. Unfortunately, I had to clean the shower first. It was getting a bit bad in there. I kept meaning to before this but didn’t have time. I didn’t mind, I just didn’t plan on doing it tonight! Still, it looks a tad better in there.
And that pretty much was my day. I spent a lot of time mad at my husband, which wasn’t my plan for the day. I really had a nice time yesterday without him. To have him needle me all afternoon and evening with his whinges is getting to me. I hope the rest of our weekend goes better.
