Friday - Sunny? Warm? I didn’t go out.
F woke me up again this morning. He used his Tile thingy to find his keys and the tone woke me up. He left but I did say to have a good day before he left.
I managed to get a little more sleep but actually got up fairly soon this morning. I watched the news, got dressed and did a load of laundry too. I did watch a bit of TV but decided that I would much rather get on with my column.
I tweaked a little, reworded a couple of things and got it done. I didn’t send it quite yet as it was lunchtime and I wanted to give it one more read-through.
I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. I came back upstairs, ate and finally sent off my column. I was reasonably happy with it.
I watched the news at 4 and then waited a bit afterwards. F called a bit later than usual tonight to say he was on his way. I went downstairs to get started on dinner. I was doing my usual spaghetti dinner tonight, but I had some eggplants to use up and F had requested some bacon with dinner. That had to be cooked. It wasn’t a big deal, but I had to get organized. I did the eggplants first and then washed the dishes. I cut up the bacon and after F arrived started cooking.
Tonight’s dinner was nice! The eggplants were delicious and the pasta sauce we had bought last night turned out to be very good. It was a Japanese soy-sauce flavoured one. F had brought back some Japanese “purin” and we had that afterwards.
I got to do all the dishes but it wasn’t too bad tonight. I started listening to a “new to me” podcast last night, You Must Remember This. This podcast talks about old Hollywood. The episode I listened to last night and tonight was all about Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. I found it very interesting.
After I finished the dishes I said goodnight to everyone and then went upstairs. F was watching sports on TV and I wasn’t interested. I came upstairs and relaxed.
F came up a bit later and chatted with me. Unfortunately, I was watching Project Runway and it was Judgement time so I really didn’t care! I did pause it so I could talk to F.
After a while, I took a shower and then came back upstairs. F went to bed soon afterwards.
We don’t have any real plans for the weekend and sadly, there aren’t any new English movies this weekend. I have a few things I’d like to do but don’t know if they’ll happen.
