Saturday - Warm and sunny
It’s really late, so I’m going to try and make this brief! I had a really nice day today, so on with the blog…
I got up around 9 this morning. I went to bed very late last night and needed the extra sleep. F went downstairs and made his mother some breakfast.
We had a nice morning. I watched the news and then got up and dressed. We went off to the doctor’s office. We had to wait for an hour to be seen, even though we were ten minutes early for our appointment. It went well and we made our next appointment. We also arranged to have our flu shots next time. Hurray for us! We picked up our medicine afterwards and then we went to the bank!
F got some money and then I suggested going to Naa for lunch. We haven’t been in ages and we both like it. F thought it was a good idea, so off we went. It had been busy but wasn’t when we got there. However, they seated us in a small room, at a low table. I was rather sad about that. I don’t like sitting on the floor when I eat. However, I tried not to let it bother me. F and I had the same kind of fish, sawara, but different meat preps. I also had half brown rice and half white, but F had all white rice. My favourite things as usual were the veggies. It was nice.
F wanted to take a drive after lunch and I was okay with that. He wanted to go and see some fishing places, so we drove off. We went to Yunohama. We talked about going to a place there for coffee, but when we drove back and turned into their parking lot, we discovered that they had closed an hour before. Oh, dear.
We went back to Tsuruoka and went to Cafe Studio Cinq for our drinks. F had a Vienna Coffee and I had a hot Darjeeling tea. That was nice. I actually got two cups with mine so I appreciated that. Unfortunately, they didn’t have their yummy pain-au-chocolat anymore. We stayed for quite a while and the restaurant was the busiest that I’ve seen for a while.
After our drinks we went to the grocery store and picked up a bento for K. We got a few snacks for ourselves as well. We came back to the house and F gave K her food. I went upstairs and waited for F to leave. It took a while!
We drove out to the mall, leaving the house around 6 pm. We got to the mall, bought our tickets and were happy that we got our tickets for free. Woot! We’d seen enough films that we could cash in our points. With our tickets in hand, we went off to have dinner. We split up to eat. F wanted ramen and I wanted pasta. We each got what we wanted.
We finished up about the same time and we had some time to kill before the movie. I suggested going into Aeon and looking for a gift for my sister. We looked at the women’s clothes and I did find something. F bought it for me and then we put it in the car. After that, we went up to the theatre and bought our drinks and popcorn.
We went into the cinema and watched No Time To Die, the latest James Bond. I really liked it. I think it was a good way to finish the Craig Bond films.
We came back to the house via a convenience store. We got a few things, no big deal. We came to the house but the two of us chatted for a while before I started doing things on my computer. And now, you are up to date. It’s terribly late and I really should be sleeping.
I’m not sure what is going to happen on Sunday, please come back and find out what does! Until tomorrow….
