Saturday - Rainy and cloudy

I got up this morning and got dressed to go out. It was really hard to drag myself out of bed as the room was cold and I was tired.

F and I headed over to the doctor’s office where I had a blood test and we both got our flu shots. On the way out, we started having a fight which continued for quite a while. After we picked up our medicine we were both really angry with each other. F did the crap where he ordered me out of the car, even pulling over a couple of times to “force” me to get out. Finally, he parked in a restaurant’s parking space and since I wouldn’t get out, he did. He disappeared for about 50 minutes. It wasn’t until I phoned him (and left a message since he wouldn’t pick up the phone) that the restaurant closed at 2 and they wouldn’t want people parking in their space after that that he came back.

He drove us back to the house and went to bed where he no doubt watched YouTube. Since I was starving…he was supposed to take me for lunch but didn’t…I grabbed some cereal and the leftover pasta from last night. I heated the pasta up, took it all upstairs, filled up the kerosene tank and shut myself in my half of the room.

We didn’t talk for hours. I was on my computer for a while, then I realized that I was hungry again, and there wasn’t much food here at the house.

I talked to F and it went okay. We haven’t really talked about it. I need to talk to my doctor, I may have to try and ask the doctor not to talk to F while I’m not in the room. F is there as my translator and isn’t great at getting or giving out information. He’s telling me one thing and I believe that he has the wrong information, or the doctor may have lied to me in the past. I won’t be back there until the end of December so I’m going to have to figure out what to do or say.

I reminded F that his mother hadn’t eaten in a long time, I was hungry and also that I needed to go to the mall in Mikawa to pick up my pants. He agreed to go out to pick up my trousers. I asked about his mother and then when I went downstairs she was there. She’d made herself some cup noodle thing, but wanted something else.

We went to the grocery store and picked up something for his mother, and a couple of things for ourselves. We dropped the food off at the house and then headed to the mall. F wanted to know about hardware stores, but some of them were already closed, or just about to. I said we could go to the one that was open, but he decided not to go tonight.

We were on the way to the mall when F asked about a movie. I knew there was one new film in English and it started around 8 pm. It was close to 7:30 at the time. When we got to the mall, we found out that it started at 8:20, so we had about 40 minutes to get my pants, eat and then go to the movie.

We made it, just. We got our tickets then went to have bibinba again at the mall. It was hot and hard to eat, but I enjoyed mine. We went to the cinema and got popcorn and drinks.  We missed all the previews, or at least, I did, but we went to see The Ice Road with Liam Neeson. I sort of liked it. It wasn’t the greatest film ever, there isn’t a love story, and it was filmed in Manitoba which was a cool thing.

After the movie, we came back to the house via a convenience store for some munchies. We had a quiet evening after that. I watched some YouTube and I’m sure that F did too.

I’m not sure what we’re going to get up to tomorrow. I know that F wants to get up early and go to the onsen with his mother, and he might go to the hardware store. Apart from that? I don’t know.

Come back later if you like and hear if my day was better than today. Until tomorrow….
