Sunday - Clear and sunny, warmish. Happy Halloween!

Today was a pretty decent day all told. Hurray.

I went to bed around 5 last night so didn’t plan to get up early at all. I slept fairly late but did get up when my alarm went off.

I got up and got half-dressed. I thought I’d wait and see what we were going to do before I made a clothes commitment! I spent time on my computer before F came back into the room.

We decided to go to a restaurant near the Voice shopping area. We had to wait for about 5 minutes but that wasn’t a big deal. F had ramen and I had curry. The curry wasn’t that good and neither was F’s ramen! F had suggested it thinking I like it…I don’t. I’d rather have gone for Indian food but he has this idea that it is expensive…it isn’t for lunch.

After lunch, we looked around Hard-off for a couple of second-hand things. F wanted glasses for his beer, I was looking for random stuff. Neither of us found anything so we walked out a bit later with nothing new.

We drove to the new drugstore that F told me about last night that is near the Machi-kinema cinema that we used to go to. However, it is still being built. F is full of information that isn’t complete. After that, I suggested finally going for karaoke. When I was first fully vaccinated I had a cold and last weekend we were busy. He didn’t want to go, but to be fair, he did. We tried to get a room, but they said it would be an hour's wait. We told them we’d be back.

We walked around main street a little and then went into Foodever and had a coffee at the swanky coffee shop. Well, I had tea, to be honest, F had a coffee. When we were done, we walked back to the karaoke box and went in.

I had a great time singing. I’m not sure if F had as great of a time as I did, but that’s on him. It had been two years since I had done any karaoke so I was a bit out of practice. My throat rebelled after a few songs, so I had to go to easier songs and I had a couple of throat drops while F was singing.

After a couple of hours, I could see that F was not into it at all, so I agreed to go. I put on our usual ending song, O-zone’s Dragostea Din Tea because it isn’t in either of our first languages and that makes it equally hard for both of us to sing. It was pretty fun though!

We came back to the house and made some plans for dinner. I suggested that F take his mother out to vote while I waited at the house. Then, we all go out to dinner. I suggested Gusto. F suggested the place in Kushibiki that we all like. I said it was a good choice, but the last couple of times we tried to go on a Sunday night, it had closed before we got there. (Absolutely true by the way.)

F took his mother, who was already in bed, out to the polling station. I did a bit of a computer game and then when the car came back, went down to meet them. F called the restaurant and they were still open, so that was fine.

We drove out to Kushibiki and had a nice meal. I had mapo-yakisoba, F had 5 kinds of stuff yakisoba and his mother had ramen. We were all quite pleased.

We brought her back to the house and then F and I went off to buy groceries for the next couple of days. I’ve got some pancake mix that is expiring soon, so tomorrow we’ll have pancakes and sausages for dinner. On Tuesday, after I work, I’ll make some chicken nuggets! That should be fun. I might do more sweet potato fries if I feel like it too. Or baked potatoes. Hmm. That sounds good.

F and I had a quiet night in. He took a shower, I went downstairs to fill up a water bottle and discovered the remnants of the fish sitting in the sink’s corner basket. Yuck. Also, F hadn’t cleaned the fish grill. I’m not doing it. I cleaned up the corner basket and also cleaned some of the recyclables. K has started chucking in dirty plastic stuff now and it is so annoying.

I watched a bunch of YouTube stuff and then turned it off so I could get this done a bit quicker.

That’s about it for me. Tomorrow I have to try and get another class gone over and maybe another plan made. I also have to wrap my sister’s birthday present as her birthday is in a couple of weeks and I need to send it out!

Come back later if you like and hear all about my Monday. Until tomorrow….
