Saturday - Rainy with bonus sleet
I went to bed dreadfully late last night and woke up this morning when F came into the bedroom to get dressed or something. I went back to sleep. He went out for a massage but I got myself up and dressed before he came back. After too much of him relaxing, we went out for food. Although I had suggested Indian (and got the wrinkled nose look for that), we ended up going to a Japanese restaurant at my suggestion. It was my favourite soba and udon place. We both had soba, I loved mine, F didn't love his. Same as usual.
I kept F hopping this afternoon. We went to the electronic shop to pick up a new extension cord for the air fryer, then zoomed over to Shimamura to look at clothes for a certain nephew of mine. I got something that I hope he'll like.
Then, we hit up Gyomu Super so that I could get a few Christmassy type things. I did see some frozen onion rings and French fries that I wanted to buy, but there's no room in my freezer at the moment.
We picked up a bento for K after this as it was getting late and we wanted to be on the road to the big mall. We dropped off the shopping and then after a few minutes, left again to go out to Mikawa. We were looking for Christmas Trees, amongst other things.
We checked out a hardware store, then a decorating shop. They had something that I thought was decent, but F didn't like. Something about the needles not being plastic enough?!
We went back to the mall and looked at the shop there. They didn't have many choices and none of them pleased me at all. Boo. We didn't buy one today.
F went upstairs and got his new jeans from being hemmed. I found a second small gift for my nephew and then we went for dinner. Oh, first we dropped off the shopping in the car.
We bought our movie tickets and were delighted to discover that we had enough points to get a free movie. Woot. We both had yakiniku bibinba and they were really hot. I'd brought some local money/coupons with us tonight and we used them to make dinner quite cheap. So, we got dinner and a movie for 1000 yen or so. Of course, we spent a bit on popcorn and drinks, but we did get a little discount there too, so we're okay! We also had some ice cream at Baskin Robbins. No discount there, sad to say. It was good though.
Since we had a little time before the movie started, we went to the bookstore. I got a nengajo book for my New Years' cards. I haven't finished sending my Christmas ones yet, so I'm not sure when I'm going to get around to New Years' ones. Sigh.
We went to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage and both of us liked it. I didn't know if I would as my sister said she hated it, but it made me laugh. F was quite into it too.
We came back to Tsuruoka and bought some kerosene for the house. We came to the house and came inside. I came upstairs and got comfortable, then F did too.
I did some watching of YouTube and then around 3:30 the internet went out. I wonder if F paid the last bill or if the weather knocked it out?
And that's it.
I'm going to try to email this to my blog. I will come back later and update the lovely Advent Calendar for December 4th when I have some internet.

[Edited to add photo and just say that the internet came back on around 5 am. It seems like it must have been out for maintenance, but neither of us knew that.]
